Hi , I’m a Sri lankan student and planing to migrate Canada next year. I have a 13 year daughter with disabilities. She need someone s help for her day today work and she can’t even speak or walk. Will that be an issue for the Visa process?

Congratulations. You must be at the medical stage since you are migrating next year.. Your child will need a medical. If you receive a procedural fairness letter, you will want a lawyer. The PFL may outline that child will be a burden on the medical system. A panel of doctors will determine this. They will assess your child’s health now and in the future. Again get a good lawyer to respond to PFL.

Thank you very much for the assistance. If apply for PR after the studies will this be a eligibility?

Yes, your daughter will need to take and pass the medical in order for PR to be approved. It's not possible for any of us to say what the outcome of the medical will be.

Hi… I didn’t find anything yet. Is there any good care centers in BC for this kind of babies. ? I can drop her in the morning and pick her up in the evening after the school.
Do you have information about care centered or schools for this kind of kids?

You have to do your own research. Most children even with disabilities go to schools so you need to talk to your school board on what facilities they have for your child. Many have long waiting lists for special programs. There may be some private daycares (if in Vancouver this will be very expensive) or you find a private caregiver.

Does she have medical needs too? That you will also have to research.

She is not going under any medical treatments for past 10 years. In a private school, do you have a rough idea what would be the approximate cost per month?
And the cost for a caregiver approximately?

No sorry, you can research schools where you are going to live. If private you are looking at $20-30k per year depending on level of needs. Private caregiver is finding a qualified nanny so again the same or more.

I have tried to look into finding caregiver (private) that will come to home for elderly. It's around $30 an hour and it's not easy to find good ones.

I have not heard of drop off care for special needed kids.

Is she a baby or a 10 year old child? I got confused with your wording. If she is of school age, then she will be going to school and with additional care of a special need attendent. (I do not think there is a special need school in BC but I don't know for sure)
She will still need before/after school care if you will be studying full time.
