This message is for all that are living the Valentine day without their spouse today or similar. This process is terribly crual and they really have no intention to make it a change at all unfortunately. In this difficult moment , we have to stay united with our spouse that is living outland and showing this person all of our love so it feels included.

I've promised my wife she was living her last Valentine apart there and that she would celebrate it nicely in here and i'm gonna push at it , be sure of it. For most of us , we are in confort zone in Canada, not missing of food as sponsor , having a good house ,a good job and all but would be important not to forget that the person we have chosen is rarely in the same conditions. On both side it's having life on "stand-by" and i believe it's even tougher to keep moving ahead when you don't have access to all you need at foreign.

So to all married and couples , it's a really difficult period for mental but in soon all this gonna be history, Don't give up you guys

Happy Valentine day !

When we sent ours, we sent the original birth certificate and marriage certificate. So it didn't need to be certified that it was a true copy by the lawyer. However, we did have to get it "stamped" by the government office in his country to get it "legalized". It is very confusing and some people said we didn't need to do that but we did not want to take the change in it being sent back or delayed so we just did everything.

We applied Outland so I don't know much about inland. And with the changes in the process I believe I have read inland slowed a little bit. But that is just from reading here and not based on facts or anything.
Did you get your original copy of the birth certificate back?

Help please!

My common law partner is from Mexico and I am Canadian. I'm really hoping someone can give me some info on where to go in Mexico to get a "government certified true copy" of a Mexican Passport. This is part of the supporting documents required for the principal applicant. It's clear on the government of Canada Website you can't get a notary to do this. We went to the passport office in Puerto Vallarta and they said they could no do the government certified true copy. Please help! It's the last thing in our application and we want to get it right to avoid future delays.

Thank you!

how do I know if my case was transferred to Mexico VO if I did not receibe any email?
Is it normal do not receibed any notification that my case was transferred?
thank
You can always call the call centre and find out if you’re file is in Canada or if it has been transferred. Typically you get a letter or email (depending on your choice of communication) indicating your file has been transferred but not a guarantee.

Hello, I'm about to buy a plane ticket for my wife from Peru to Montreal using Copa Airlines for her PR landing. Is there a potential problem at Lima airport if I buy her a one-way ticket? I've heard that since she doesn't have a PR card yet that they might refuse because she is still not actually a resident yet and that she would need a round trip ticket. Would like some opinions. Thanks!

My husband called CIC in Sidney He was told my file was transferred to Ankara in Turkia which it was pretty strange for us as I am from Cuba. My husban then emailed to Ankara VO in order to clarified the situation. Then, Ankara emailed back telling that there was a error and our case have been transferred to Mexico VO from the moment we had gotten the present email.
We have not received any notification since then. We would like to be sure that our case is actully in Mexico VO.
I will appreciate any help.
thank you
