How long has it taken since your file was transfered to MEX Office for you to recieve an update. My application was transfered a month ago
and still nothing :(

My Sponsor Approval was on Jan 26, and I didn't heard anything from them until March 28, No AOR2, just two more lines on my eCAS. So 61 days for me, I guess now I have to wait for more time. I have no fingernails no more! :'(

It appears to me that you're soon to be done with this!

I hope so but outland applicants from Dominican republic always seem to take long. Hope its changing to be quick.

I don't know if it will show something in the notes, but I requested them April 4, my eCAS status was updated on March 29, they started processing the application and requested fingerprints (only fingerprints no PCC). We send the fingerprints today and will arrive Wednesday, lets see what happen next. I hope no interview for us!

I thought it might be too early to request GCMS notes as I don't think it will say much since they haven't opened our file yet at the VO. It is kind of like a desperate attempt in trying to get some answers about the status of our application.

When they request the fingerprints, how do you send them? Who do you send it to? (I was under the impression that for applicants outside of Canada, fingerprints are obtained on paper and then have to be sent to a recognized company who can digitize them and then they submit it to the RCMP and it's run through their database).

If and when we get past that point, there is a high probability that an interview will be requested {{sigh}}. As well, my partner will have to re-do his medical. So it's going to be a long road for us.

It's been 3 months since police certificates were sent in and still nothing...

Next thing you will hear is ppr! Background checks takes 1-3 months, you must be really close of getting PPR.

I believe PPR'S come in batches so they might be waiting for enough people to reach that level!

Hi guys,
I want to give you a quick update of my situation, I received an email from CIC Mexico VO
Requesting the payment for the RIght of Permanent Residence Fee, So Does it mean that my PR visa was approved??? I checked on my ECAS, not DM only AOR 2 ... nothing new in my CIC either.
I will make the payment on line, Any idea of what the next step will be?

One step closer....RCMP clearance arrived end of march and sent to MEX. Still
Waiting for ARC pymt request, request for medical renewal before the end is really in sight!

Argie2016 well that's a good thing for sure. But it doesn't mean your visa has been approved said:

I'm guessing the background check is in progress since the time that the police certificates were requested - 4.5 months ago (end of November).
Through GCMS I saw that they added the certificates to the file at the end of January. Since then the file has been just sitting there.

That's crazy... how many police certificates they requested? (how many countries)

Two countries - Mexico and Canada. They gave an overly generous 120 day window to provide them and I guess that played to our detriment. in GCMS the due date for next review was set to around 130 days days from request date. However that date, Apr 10, passed without any news.
