Just reading up on this thread and your husband is from Dominican? Mine too. I am just in the process of filing our papers now and will also be going to Dominican in a few weeks. I haven't seen anyone who has been currently doing PR for a Dominican spouse. So it's nice to finally know someone else

Hi, my partner is going to apply for an eta so he can come from Mexico visit me in Montreal for the holidays. I was approved as his sponsor last October, however, we don't know where to find his UCI. Any input will be really appreciated.

Your partner does not have a UCI number yet until his file reaches the Mexico City Visa office and you get an AOR (acknowledgement of receipt from the Canadian Embassy).. His PR applications has not started process...

Your partner... From here on out, since he/she is the PA (principal applicant), all request or information regarding his PR (permanent residence application) will be emailed to him/her.

Finally some little movement. Today the lawyer notified us that the request has been made for finger prints and police check. Still waiting for when ARC request gets sent!

I noticed at bottom of chart where they asked for these things it also says
IRB decision - please provide the IRB reasons for decision and order (full document)

What does that mean?

IRB stands for Immigration Refugee Board , did you claim refugee and was rejected .

you need to contact IRB in Toronto or in your sponsor's area , your sponsor can request it in your behalf you need to include a consent of release .

You will be requesting IRB decision and mention it 's for immigration purpose .

You will need to include your name, date of birth and file number with your request .

you can email all the info to: <atip@irb-cisr.gc.ca>
