In 1-2 months?? Didn't think it would be that long...

My application left for Mexico after aug. 23. And I only found out that Mexico started processing it September 20 when I logged into CIC website. So I'm assuming that's my AOR2. My lawyer never received any notification. And yes....now the longer process of the application has begun...atleast for me.

Hi Jalisse - This is what my Immigration Consultant said to me when I had the same question for her about my ECAS info. prior to receiving my AOR2 "I'm quoting below" (I hope this helps you understand)

Further to our previous email on August 16, the usual time for issuance of an email acknowledgement of receipt is 4 - 6 weeks.

If the online status check shows that your application started processing on August 15, 2016, then the Visa Office in Mexico City has received your application and begun processing it as of that date regardless of the email acknowledgment.

As soon as we receive the email acknowledgement we will forward it to you immediately.

Thank you,

Is there any system to how long after SA approval a PGR request is issued? Seems that it's from 2 months to half a year?

I think once AOR2 stage is over, they start looking into eligibility along with other docs. It also depends on complexity. In my case I got the request in around 9 weeks.

Hey everyone ...today we received an email from Canada immigration stating all my husbands application I formation. It was an email inviting him to attend a pre-departure orientation. Does this mean we may be getting passport request soon? We sent in our police check in August...patiently waiting for passport request

I got the same email. It looked like junk at first. It's a automated mail.

Good evening lovely people!

Just a quick question.. We got our SA last week on the 25th and our file got sent to Mexico VO. I know an AOR2 can take a couple of months to get, but what about the application status in ECAS? Right now the Sponsor side says Decision Made. Applicant side still says Application Received, when should it switch to In Process? Same time as AOR2 or before?

Hi Nartcr & shaffi.martinez - I have received my PGR request!!!!!! along with the "Free Departure Orientation Session Letter" I'm so happy :D "Things are looking Up"""

It's the request for Mexico's police clearance (has to be processed at the PGR office) "Procuraduria General de la Republica" Only applies to Mexican Citizens.

Nice ballatopazio, it means your initial eligibility request from Mexico has been done ( pending review from Mississauga lead officer comments + additional reviews from Mexico ), at this point you should see how things look regd your relationship when you order your gcms notes.

I am holding off from ordering gcms notes or emailing embassy, as my lawyers has said it could slow things up.

That's correct Nartcr! (I think you & have have cleared eligibility) from reading those great posts from Eagle- Looks great.... now they're going to do the criminal & security checks. criminality is fast, all they're gonna do is check with agencies that issued the PCC to make sure they are legit....In my case they have to check with FBI & PGR and I'm in the clear. Security takes a bit longer but I'm not sweating it. I'm in the good books!! Lol......and finally, Medicals (I'm as healthy as one can be). When I had my Medicals upfront - the doctor actually congratulated me for being so healthy...... We are almost done with this process Nartcr! ;D *I'm holding off on ordering the GCMS notes as well. Things seem to be going at a great speed and they way they should.
