Hello CANZanillo and the rest of the Mexico forum crew.. Approximately How long after AOR2 does the applicant or sponsor receives request to pay the permanent resident landing fee? Thanks in advance

Hard to say exactly... 1 to 5 months assuming a normal uncomplicated application?? All applications are different. Request for payment of RPRF usually comes just before PPR and generally signals a positive result to an application.

As per the timeline spreadsheet, in the case of tinyaries they received AOR2 on 09/25/2015, then RPRF request 10/28/2015, then PPR 11/23/2015. Their application went quickly after AOR2.

Just a quick shout out to everyone who is putting comments on their timeline. It helpful for others to understand some of the details and differences between applications. Thank you for taking the time to do it!

Oh ok.. Ouch.. We would like 1- 1/2 months the latest lol.. Wauw that was awesome for tinyaries.. May we get the same movements, that would be just awesome.. Our app is moving pretty decent to be honest.. I'm just praying and hoping it stays that way .. Thanks again for clarifying that question CANZanillo..

Hi Everyone!
Just a quick update...I'm in Canada right now! Just as a Visitor for now...it was a coincidence that I received the PPR letter just before my trip...I was a bit scared thinking that the immigration officer could have given me a hard time at the airport, but the officer was a super nice guy and he actually told me my process should be ending very soon.
So today I sent the 2 photos and photocopy of my passport as requested. It cost me 85 CAD to post with priority!
I'll let you know guys when I get the PR confirmation letter... let's hope it will come soon! Can't wait to become a Canadian permanent resident!
Since we sent the application until today, we have been waiting for 9 months!

Cheers!!

I posted both here twice and Mexi-can spouses Facebook page about the event. Sorry you didn't see it and make it. Hopefully the next one! :)

I hadn't visited the Family Class forum for a while, I got swamped at work. That makes it hard.

I'll check it more frequently :)

Just checked. I can't see that I replied to the PM but for sure I sent you a text on Dec 22. it's sitting on my phone...

Hahaha, my phone was turned off for December as I was in Mexico on vacations. Usually I don't use text messages... too old fashioned.

We'll meet, I know it :)

Hello Chrillan

No updates here.. How long did it took you to receive AOR2 after SA and did you received it by email?

Hi Jbodden,

Sorry for the very late reply. We have been very busy getting our PGR (Mexican applicants only) and some additional information they requested. An updated Schedule A with addresses and work since my husband was 18 yrs old (compared to the 10 last years initially requested) and also some more details regarding his military service.
Anyhow, we got the courier off yesterday and it was delivered this morning, so now we wait again. :)

The answer to your question above is that our SA was received July 13th and our AOR2 received by email (both to my husbands email and mine) on September 30th. Then it took until mid November for them to the ECAS and say they were now processing it... I think they had already started. :)

Jbodden, you are definitely in the longest wait - once you receive your AOR2 you should have passed the worst... hang in there!!!

Speedy processing everyone!!

weird situation or what's going on ?

Do you mind me asking if they requested the additional documents with AOR2 or at a later date ?

Hi Chrillan

It's ok. Like they say, it's better late then never lol. I'm happy to hear you guys were able to gather up all that was needed. Hope y'all get PPR soon. We received our AOR2 on February 11 (3 month and 18 days after SA) and line on Ecas stating they started processing our app on February 8. We are currently and patiently waiting for RPRF request. I notice others got it 45 days after AOR2(the las test) so we are hoping for a RPRF email mid March. Oh yes it's indeed a wait, but we will all be at the win of the tunnel soon United and happy with our love ones

Hello Guys

I don't know if you guys are interested but I found a cel app called "CIC STATUS" for iPhones. It's free and accurate.. Y'all should check it out. It makes it much easier to check your ECAS lol

ECAS is a courtesy, it is not a real-time 100% reliable system.

CIC communications are the only things that actually matter.

They can request it at any point in the process.

my husband and I are in Dominican, he had his interview this morning and was approved without a doubt!
