Oh wauw that's awesome news, but I'm not Mexican I am Honduran. So in other words if I don't get approved for a Visitors visa our PR application will get delayed?
Applying for a TRV will not affect your PR application in any way!

One more question..... On the Corp where it says city of dest. Does that mean the city we will be landing in? Because it's not the same city that we will be living in... Im assuming it is because under it says flight number

You're welcome! Yes, any time but best to wait 3 to 4 months after AOR2 so that your file has a chance to mature, as it were, otherwise there will not be meaningful information in the notes.

I take 30 to receive the notes normally, though they can take even longer.

Speedy Processing!
Thanks CANzanillo! Me and my husband will do our best to be there! It will be a pleasure to meet all!

Hi Jbodden!

We got it in the main inbox, the subject was the complete name of the Principal Applicant and the Application number.

I think you shouldn't worry too much about it, since your Ecas says: In Process

For example, we received AOR2 on September 29, but Ecas is showing they sent AOR2 on December 7.

Trusting God we all recieve PPR's soon.

hey everyone

Finally got my passport today!!! One month after they requested it.
i am already in canada so i dont have to cross the border, any ideas where do i sign the paper they sent? or what i have to do?

I was also wondering, the PR is valid until december, so what happens after that? how i renew it?
it says that i have to be on common law for another 2 years, does this means after 2 years i have to prove that we have been together the 2 years? i just want to know if have to be gathering any information. how does the paperwork work for that?

i will appreciate any comments thanks!!

Do not sign anything yet!! The CoPR says explicitly NOT to sign. You will do that on landing!

You still have to do a "landing"!! If you are in Vancouver it would be easiest? to just drive down to the US border and do a "flagpole" landing. Drive to the US side explain to the US Officer that you are doing a flagpole landing in Canada and they will give you an Administrative Refusal/Denial doc on the US side. IT DOES NOT MATTER if you don't have a US Visa! Then just turn around and drive back to the Canadian side and tell them you are there to do a PR landing! If they are not busy you could be in and out in 10 minutes. Plan to go when they are not busy. I recommend you call them to find out what time would be best.

I cannot advise you on meeting the common-law conditions of your Permanent Residency. It may simply be that if you don't remain in the common-law relationship with your sponsor then you risk losing your PR status and being told to leave Canada. I'm imagining that it's no different than the condition 51 that we received. Perhaps others will comment...

Congratulations!

Oh and please update the spreadsheet for the date you do "land". It is appreciated!

What: Immigration Friends Fiesta Latina

Who: Current and ex members of Mexico forum on canadavisa.com as well as members from Facebook Mexi-Can spouses

When: Friday Feb 12th, 7:00pm - 12 midnight, Dinner at 8pm

Where: 140 Douglas Woods Grove SE, Calgary

Details: POT LUCK, DE TRAJE, preference would be a regional dish typical of where you lived in Latin America (Can you image how tasty this could be????) We don’t want EVERYBODY bringing Guacamole right? I was thinking that your dish should be enough to feed (at least) four people so that there is plenty of food for everyone, including those who don’t have time to prepare something but still want to come. BTW, if you know that you have a winner of a dish that you know EVERYBODY is going to love and devour, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring a BIG dish!! ;)

Beverages - BYOB (Bring your own beverages/refrescos, etc.) alcohol in a reasonable quantity because I don’t want anyone drinking and driving and to respect the house where the event will be.

This will be informal, social evening to enjoy good food, put faces to the names and make some new friends.

Abuelita! Hope to see you there! Lorrein?? Fabibeach?? Tishness?? Don't miss this! Should be fun meeting everyone!!
One week until our little shin dig (sp?) with Abuelita and her hubby we will be around 14 people so far. WHO ELSE WOULD LIKE TO COME??? It'd be really nice to meet you!

Again thank you Canzanillo! Ill do the flagpole landing this week.

As for the common law for 2 years maybe i wasnt clear, what im trying to find out is if after 2 years they will be asking me for proof that we had been together.
I had to collect and save a lot of paperwork, photos, etc to prove our common law to apply for PR, should I keep same stuff from now on? will they ask me for paperwork after the 2 years? and what kind of paperwork?

Hope someone can help me understand that part.
Again thanks!!

This may help...

2.4 Assessing evidence of compliance of the two-year condition

To maintain their permanent resident status, the sponsored spouse or partner is required to cohabit in a conjugal relationship with their sponsor for a continuous period of two years after the day on which they became a permanent resident.

While the Regulations require a “continuous” period of two years of cohabitation, from time to time, one or the other partner may leave the home for work or business travel or family obligations. CIC officers should follow existing guidelines when assessing a period of cohabitation where temporary or short separations have occurred. See OP 2, Section 5.35 for more information.

A conjugal relationship is interpreted as being a relationship where individuals are interdependent and have a significant degree of attachment—financially, socially, emotionally, and physically—where they share household and related responsibilities, and where they have an exclusive relationship; a mutual and continuing commitment to a shared life together. See OP 2, Section 5.25 and IP 8, Section 5.20 for more information.

The sponsored spouse or partner must provide evidence of their compliance with the condition if an officer requests such evidence because they have reason to believe that the sponsored person is not complying or has not complied with the condition (for example, when a tip is received or a CIC or CBSA officer has information indicating non-compliance), or if requested as part of a random assessment of the overall level of compliance with the condition by the permanent residents who are or were subject to the condition.

If the CIC Call Centre is informed by the sponsored person that the sponsor and the sponsored spouse or partner are no longer cohabiting in a conjugal relationship, the Call Centre will refer the information within 24 hours to a local CIC office who may assess whether the sponsored spouse or partner is complying with the condition. Other calls with information or tips related to non-compliance of the condition should be referred to the CBSA Border Watch Line.

2.5 Processing instructions for cases that have met the condition

The condition ends two years after the day on which the sponsored person becomes a permanent resident. GCMS will automatically remove the tracking of the condition once the conditional period ends, except for cases under investigation. The permanent resident status of these individuals does not differ from that of other permanent residents apart from the requirement that they cohabit in a conjugal relationship with their sponsor for a period of two years after the day on which they became a permanent resident.

In situations where an investigation is completed and there is insufficient evidence of non-compliance with the condition, the CIC officer shall document the results in GCMS, update the system and issue a letter, if applicable.
