For us it's been 81 days since we for SA and 71 days since the app changed to IP and we haven't received AOR2 yet. Should be worried?
Dates in the spreadsheet are just estimates. As long as the whole process is done under 18 months you shouldn't worry about anything.

Jbodden said:
Another thing is that I've been noticing when the app changes to IP the date shows up on ECAS when it's updated. For example ours changed to IP on Nov 05/15, so once updated in ECAS should it be that date?
Usually dates match but that is quite irrelevant....

Another little question when do VO's ask for additional documents( as soon as they receive the file or at any time during the processing)?
Any time during the process.

When you do your landing into Canada you will be given a paper sheet from the immigration officer. This is a informal of your permanent residency until your card is sent to you in the mail. It took my wife approximately 60 to receive her PR card. But right away with the paper the officer had given you upon landing all you have to do to file your Ontario health card is visit any service Ontario. Also right away you can receive a social insurance number.

Cheers
Canica, with the SIN number I get in the airport it's possible to work right away??? Or Do I need to wait 2 months until the PR card arrives?

Your SIN number is valid right from the period you have received it. There is no waiting.

I love how lurking in these forums answer my questions before I can ask them! I was wondering about the SIN and Alberta Health care a couple days ago.

THANKS ALL! ;D

Hello everyone I have a couple of questions, my boyfriend has a son back in El Salvador... his ex has custody of the kid and she is giving us a hard time about the medical exams and passport for his son, we don't have communication with her and we send our lawyer to her house to try to get the signature but is just impossible we know if he doesn't get them we wont be able to sponsor him latter, but is a notarize letter from the lawyer enough proof that we tried and she just wont authorize , and that she is was advise of the consequences?? and we will also include my boyfriend notarize letter that he is also aware of the consequences?

has anyone been in this situation ?

I read some forums in regard to this but most of them are from back in 2011-2012 and I don't know if they have been any changes.

Notarization is not the same as veracity of assertion...

That is: I can get notarized a letter saying that "the moon is made of cheese and mice live there". In this example the notarization is giving faith that I said that, if it is true or not, it is not their concern. Notarization works when translating documents because the seal proves that what was translated was not modified, but it does not guarantee that the information translated is true.

Given that you can understand why notarizing something si basically useless in your case.

If she doesn't authorize you can't do a thing about it... with the added problem that she is the mother.

Hello Crys, You dont have send to Mexico CSQ, they do it for you. All you have to do now is wait patiently for Passport request or to submit any other documents if they get to request it. I am in the same boat, I received CSQ in September, then Mexico requested more documents on November, since then I have no news. Good Luck!

I know there was another question from CANzanillo but for some reason I can't see it to quote it.

On December 17 we received both the AOR2 and Docs Request. We were asked to resubmit form IMM5669. We had to update the address section and personal history. My husband had moved out of the apartment we were living in the Dominican Republic. I think because his current address changed they wanted that updated. ALSO they wanted us to go back 18 years on both the address and personal history sections. When we originally answer that question we understood that they wanted the past 10 years because that was most recent in our situation. Nine months wasn't so bad after all. It's such a relief knowing that we are in the final stage. My husband sent his passport to Mexico this morning and is expected to arrive on Monday.

and thanks again for the congratulations! Good luck!!!

Thank you, I hope we will be lucky and hear something soon. Wouldn't that be the perfect Valentines Gift :D We haven't heard anything since the AOR2 back in September so I'm hoping they had all the information they needed. I'm thinking I sent too much and it's taking them a long time to read it all :p

One more thing, some one once commented that the PGR request (for Mexican applicants) and the PPR are only emailed to the applicant not the sponsor - is this correct? The AOR2 was emailed to both of us.

Congrats again and Speedy Processing to everyone else!

Thank you very much for your answer my post. What documents did Mexico ask for? Did they ask for the police report? Did you see any updates on the CIC website (application status) since you received the CSQ? Should the website mention that they received the CSQ?
Thanks again for your time!
