Happy new year to everyone! just arrived in Canada after the holidays, my husband will join me in 4 weeks, still waiting for his passport 8)

How long does passport take to arrive? I sent my husband on the 28th and it arrived at MVCO on the 30th, have not gotten it back.

I called the VFS in Venezuela since we're using their services, they told me 5 business days... My husband's passport was received in Mexico on the 24th I believe, we are still waiting, hopefully this week they will send it back

Ok so this might be a bit off the topic from immigration but it definitely matters because I do not want this to be an issue later on or neither do I want this to make my processing time longer, so maybe someone will be able to help me out... But today exactly I received call from a debt collector and I know that the collection is on the dentist that I went to a few months back and did not follow up with the monthly ortho payments, I am obviously going to pay it probably tomorrow HOWEVER, Will this be an issue for the process??? I mean i am already waiting for the FBI certs plus this... my head is spinning at the moment.... has anyone been through this?? any bad news for me ?? :-[ I hope not ... Like I said, I am going to pay this ASAP but its already in my name so not much can be done but to pay it....

I sent my passport in December 23 and haven't get it back yet!!!! I already had my plane ticket for January 12 since we are on vacation in Mexico and I am counting the days!!!!

As mentioned, they were on vacations from Dec 25 to Jan 2, so it is expected they have lag. You should expect your passport coming through anyday next week.

You should have the return tracking number, I would recommend tracking it on a daily basis. Recollection is once a day from the embassy so no need to check it more than once day (evenings is safer).

Hi everybody! i just came back from my trip to Cuba where I met with my husband! It was so nice to spend the holidays together!! I've been just catching up in the forum and everything looks the same lol hopefully CIC holidays won't affect is too much.
Congrats to all the new PPR or any type of communication some people have experienced.
My application is still the same, in process since November 19th. I'm positive though I'll get some news next month before my medicals expire (I think it's Feb 27th- first week of March).

We are on the same boat, my wife's passport is still in limbo... MCVO received in on the 24th, so we expected it to be back latest today... but the tracking number hasn't moved.

Seems that they have a lot of backlog!

You are welcome! I was requested various documents, and I was not able to send all at the same time. I sent what I had, with a letter explaining why I was sending only some documents, and that I would be sending the rest later. Once I was ready to send the rest I send another letter explaining that I was sending the complement. I had no problem, so I imagine you would be OK.
