Thank you all for the answers and suggestions, As for the FBI fingerprinting I just sent them today to W. Virginia and I hope they do not take THAT long, I did send it priority mail along with the M/O the FBI asks for.

I did try to call CIC to ask if I could send the Permanent Resident Fee along with the CSQ meanwhile the FBI returns my results for the finger prints but the call centre seems to be closed today.... But in the Email that I received a week ago it does say to send everything at once, so I guess I just have to wait and have everything prepared.

One thing I did want to mention was that I had initially already sent POLICE CERTIFICATES to Mississagua, I just find it a bit weird or worrisome that now they are asking or Mexico is asking for FBI certificates....

Anyone had something similar happen ?

And sure !! Go ahead and send me the timeline deal :)

Hi!
By CSQ i guess your refering to the certificat de selection du Quebec? I am sorry if i dont understand your question correctly but the undertaking is the agrement the sponsor makes with the government of quebec that makes the sponosor financially responsible of the sponsored person for 3 years. (For example if the sponsored person ever seeks to recieve welfare the sponsor is responsible of paying back the governement)....I actually sent the csq application right after recieving SA and recieved approval and also recieved my husband CSQ which i believe is needed to procees PR so you should try to get it done ASAP you can find the application online (i cant seem to be able to post the link sorry)
If you are the sponsor you will recieve the sponsored person CSQ and have to send it to them since they will need it towards the end of the application!

As for FBI certificate unfortunatly it takes a while to recieve them we waited a little over 4 months to get them :( we actually were ready to send application in april and didnt until we recieved FBI certificates in July...i have notice many send them without and just attach some type of.proof the request has been made
Hope i could help answer your question!
Good Luck

Thanks a lot !

How long after you sent everything to Quebec did you receive an answer back ??
CIC said we were getting close, but just want to know how long it took other people on average ....

Hopefully 2016 will be the year !!!

It took around 4 weeks after sending the application and payment for csq and undertaking to get an answer and recieve certificates
You will recieve 2 certificates and the original undertaking agreement!

If your application is with the Mexico City Visa Office, the email address to use is MXICOIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca that's where we sent our requested information and we received a reply that they had received it (I requested a reply just to make sure). :)

Good Luck!

Yes, VFS is a middle man, that is, they receive your passport and send it to the Immigration office. More than 24 hours would be nonsense.

You only need your passport (with immigration visa if any) and CoPR.

Are you sure that is the address? If so then use CPCM-EXTCOM@cic.gc.ca not cpcm-extcom@cic.gc.ca

My response to your question would be to submit the RPRF payment and CSQ when you have them ready and indicate in a letter to the visa office that the FBI Certificates will be forwarded upon receipt. At least this way they can process those 2 items while waiting and "may" somewhat speed up processing of your application. The request email/letter you received may well have provided the answer to your question as they often direct you on whether to send everything together.
This usually doesn't work. The way CIC marks correspondence is binary, which is "all requested documents ready y/n" sending partially some would mark them as "requested documents incomplete" and the partial submission will be ignored. That is why CIC marks that all documents should be sent at once in a single package, they don't like partial submissions nor documents just sitting there waiting to be completed.

Our logic marks that "they have something to work with" but they have too many applications and they don't have time to "see what is missing" or "what we can work on".

I don't understand. What I'm saying is that my husband's passport was sent to the embassy 12/24 and was sent back to Caracas on 12/29. All days except 12/29 were holidays, that doesn't make any sense, that would mean the embassy processed it in less that 24 hrs. I hope they stamped the visa and just didn't return it for whatever reason.

Hi. Congrats on your success. Happy New Year! I'm currently in the process in Venezuela myself. My permanent residence application status is still "in process" since July 6,2015How long did it take for your entire process to be done through the Mexico City office?
