I would relax if I were you. The benefit of being on the spreadsheet is that you can see the progress of other applicants as compared to your application. You probably still have 2 months to wait before you receive AOR2 from Mexico city VO acknowledging receipt of your application. I was approved as sponsor in March and still have not received AOR2. I hoping by the end of August or early September to receive it. Expect up to one year total processing time assuming your application is not complicated.

Regarding ECAS, our status still only shows "Application Received". It won't change until Mexico City starts to actively work your file.

Thanks so much for your response. The date of the AOR1 was 03/05/2015. Regarding ECAS, my concern is that there is no status at all. At least for you it shows "Application received" and I have read that other people get similar messages. For me, I get this error: "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided", Am I doing something wrong? I'm using the Client ID and my wife's info (since she is the principal applicant). Last question, at what point of the process you where able to see "Application Received" on ECAS? Is it referring to the first application in Mississauga or something else? Thanks a lot friend.

As sponsor for my wife when I enter my UCI and personal info, both my status and my wife's application status show up on the same screen. Try entering your info.

Yes. I received both the AOR and SA from Mississauga. In the letter of SA, they said they would send the application to Mexico. That's it. I know I have to wait for the AOR from Mexico, but is strange that I can't see any status whatsoever on ECAS. Is it possible to call to the Embassy just to to confirm they have my application (the package)? I know they ask not to call if the application is within the processing times they give... where you able to see your status since the beginning of your application? Thanks.

Hi,

As soon as I received my first email with the AOR1 I could log in and see my status "application in process". After I received the SA it changed to say under my name (I'm the sponsor) "Decision Made" and under my husbands name "Application Received" but I'm pretty sure that refers to received in Mississauga as we've heard nothing from the VO.
I log in using my UCI number and personal information but when I try to log in with my husbands info.. I get the same error message that you do.

Don't know if that is any help.

Yayyy FedEx had delivered my wife's passport from Mexico
We are both super excited about this and kind of able to relax now some lol.
Flight dates have changed, I leave for Nicaragua September 22 and we together return on the 25th

I am getting anxious for AOR2, checking email multiple times a day, hoping for the mysterious email to appear. It's rather excruciating to have to wait so long for Mexico to start processing our application. 5 months now waiting... patience is definitely a virtue in this game.

Please confirm the date you received the passport back with Visa so I can update the spreadsheet.

That is my understanding, yes. ECAS, in general, is a terrible way to gauge the progress of your application. Although I check it occasionally, the best tool for tracking progress is the spreadsheet which, when updated by the each username, indicates each direct communication from the Visa Office to the applicant or their representative (spouse, lawyer, etc). Many times, ECAS doesn't get updated until the final stage of your application processing i.e. Passport Request. I don't recommend that you put any(much) confidence in it... Now, on the other hand, if you cannot access ECAS, as it appears that Gambrinus777 cannot do, then a call to CIC Mississauga is warranted I think, to try to clarify lack of accessibility to ECAS.

gambrinus777, I don't mean to put too fine a point on it but in the spreadsheet we differentiate between the date that the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga actually received your PR application package, i.e. the day the courier delivered it, and the date of the letter acknowledging receipt of your application (AOR). What was the date of the AOR letter? Should be shortly before you received Spousal Approval letter.

Thank you very kindly! Yes its a huge relief once that passport is back with the visa that's for sure. I'm sure or I am hoping that your process will be wrapped up in 30 days, seeing your timeline is approx that from ours.

She received her passport on August 19 total time from A-Z was under 8 months

Okay, thanks for the reply, I asked you this because my Ecas is in process now, and is kinda weird that. However, until now and since my status changed to IP I haven't received any AOR2 (email or letter), so i don't know what to think...

Are you the PR Applicant or the Sponsoring Spouse? I'm assuming you are the applicant. So, in ECAS your spousal sponsorship shows Decision Made and your PR Application shows In Process?? That is odd since you have just received Spousal Approval on August 11th. Again, I wouldn't put much faith in ECAS. Better yet, hunker down for a 4 or 5 month wait for AOR2, and 8 to 12 months overall. If it does happen sooner it's a bonus. Better to keep your expectations low to be honest. This can be a frustrating process. As I said before patience is a virtue. Please do keep us all up to date!

-After i sent all the papers to the MVO i flew to toronto with my TRV visa:
-It was super easy at the entry because i got the right documents to show:
1)marriage certificate
2)Extension letter from my last entry
3)my husband citizenship card copy

-After i enter i went to my hubby's home and after lots of love, hugs and tears, i went to check on his papers and i found a copy of his birth certificate!!!!!!
-''Don't send a men to do a woman's job'' hahahahaha he had it in a very old paper bag, and he never checked there!!!
-I inmmediately sent via case specific the copy of his BC and a huge letter telling them that when i sent the document's requiered to me in AOR 2 i sent a letter telling them that i couldn't find my husband's(The sponsor birth certificate) but finally i could find it!!! hope they don't get to confused and understand!!
