So... Get the PGRS is this a good sign that i won't be called to an interview??.??.??, i will go to visit hubby next week and i woulnd't like to be called for an interview ???

Congratulations LovelyComplex!! :D awesome news!!! Send as many proofs of relationship as you can! :)

I have news as well, I know of a Venezuelan applicant that received AOR a few days ago and PPR request the following day! A December applicant. I hope this means that actually they've been working on applications and that things will move faster for SA March recipients hahaha.

Looking forward to more aors to December and January applicants!

Now there's something that got me nervous. LovelyComplex you are the applicant, correct? Why are they asking for your husband's birth certificate? I don't remember sending these! Only my husband's birth certificate, I only sent my passport photocopies :/. We did translate and certified the marriage certificate, his birth certificate and national ID and passport.

Thank you so much Canzanillo and luna...Canzanillo i know your words gave me luck i guess hahahaha

Luna...Yes i'm the applicant, i don't know why on earth they are asking me for my sponsor's birth certificate i think this is very unusual maybe a mistake from them.
And i'm very worry because my husband(The sponsor) was born in colombia so in order to get the copy of his birth certificate he actually needs to go to Colombia, there is no way he can get it in the consulate of colombia in Canada.
So i sent an e-mail to VO telling them that, That my husband doesn't have his birth certificate and that is almost imposible to get one. I hope they can understand. OMG! i just want this nightmare to be over!! :'(

But I think they do ask for birth certificate though,.. I don't remember why I put his passport and birth certificate in the application . I just think I saw that in one of the check list

Yes, you are right. They ask birth certificates. My husband sent his one. But the good thing he is a canadian. We followed each one of what the list asked. Step by step really carefully and we have our results. 7 months and our visa was issued.

I just checked the check list! Yes your husband sent it because he's Canadian, I'm a PR so I sent the confirmation or residence! That's why! Well, I hope they don't request it, thanks God I have it here anyway, translated and all XD but really that doesn't make any sense, that really don't ask for it, I sent copies of my passport that's all.

Yes, in the checklist they ask for birth certificate, but they as for Canadian birth certificate which he doesn't have since he was born in Colombia.

We won't be sending it since there is no way he can go all the way to colombia right now.
We will send a letter explaining that there is no way to get a Colombian birth certificate for now :(

What do you think i should write in the letter??.??

Here is what it says in the Sponsor's document checklist:
Canadian Citizenship Certificate or card (both sides), or
Canadian birth certificate
or
If you were born in the province of Quebec, only a birth certificate issued by the

In the beggining we sent the Canadian Citizenship Certificate card, so we will send it again this time to see if it can make it up to the Birth certificate

I think it is the best option, send the letter ASAP, better before to send everything so when they answer you can send the rest of documents they are asking. Go girl, do it now. Do the letter clear and fast for them. And you are right, it is really complicated that trip and expensive too. My husband is quebecois so was easier for us.

Yes, that's right. As I told to Lovelycomplex, was easier for us, cos he is a quebecois. She must send the letter, what do you think?

Also, I wish you the best and see you in Quebec! ;)

Thank you Nprendiz, you are right, i will send a letter in the case specific enquiry in about a week since i already sent them 2 e-mails, i know o should send so many e-mails buy i freaked out xD.
I will send them a letter telling them it's imposible to get his Colombian birth certificate in Canada. Before i send the police certificate and the other stuff they asked me for.

Oh god hopefuly it won't be a motive for a reyection :(

Hi everyone!

Arrived back in Calgary on Saturday with 1 husband! . Landing went well, the CIC officer was nice, asked some very basic questions. We waited a long time as he read through our file on his computer, but was fairly straight forward. He said we didn't need a B4 form or any list of accompanying good,s only if they are to follow (pretty sure that was wrong). In 1 day we got his SIN, Health Care and a bank account (ask about free accounts for new immigrants, he got 1 year no fees). Just settling in, showing him around, and getting back to work. So happy, I have to pinch myself every morning that he is finally here!

PR Card can take about 2 months, during which time you cannot leave the country, as your visa is valid for 1 entry only, you do not have a legal right to re-enter... We were hoping to make it to ?Houston for Canadian Thanksgiving, but that may be cutting it too close, and I don't know if he can get a US visa without the PR Card... We will see.

Best wishes to you all!
