We have done everything including the PGR letter and some aditional documents we had to refill. The only thing missing I think is that they tell her to send her passport. I want my daughter to start school here in Sept but the delay has been terrible. I pray everynight hoping that she gets a positive email soon. She is very depressed and down with all this process and it is so hard to make her think otherwise being so far away. 18 years of marriage and 3 kids, now, 2 years separated due to this. I also wish you and everyone a lot of luck!

I know wat u mean , but try and stay possitive hopefully ull hear from them Soon ! Have u try contacting ur MP maybe they can get some info for u ?!

I have done that. The MP emailed me back and says that everything is in revision and that due to the strike they cannot give a time to process. So I am just back as the beginning. All we have been doing is wait and wait. It is terrible.

That would be awesome! Just read on the news that there is a change of Minister of Immigration as of today, so maybe the new one will try to finish of this strike!. His name is Chris ALexander

It was about 2 weeks from when they got his pgr and when they requested ARC. But this was way back in sept 2012. When things seem to be moving ALOT faster than 2013 so far. And even for back than we received it faster than most. Most people were still about 3-5 weeks.

I think we all have big problems with all of this process. My wife sometimes looses the faith and says she will probably never come up here. I want to think positive and know that they have to answer soon. This is not just anything, these are peoples lifes, and so many depend on this process. I wish you all good luck and hope that things go thru quicker.

Thanks! Good luck to you and your wife too, it is tough for everyone at this stage, hopefully the strike will be over soon!

Oh wow that is a very long time ! I will be very upset if they did that to me ... Have you try contacting your MP ? Just be patience i know its hard but just think this has to be over at one point ! Good luck to u & hope u hear from the Soon !

No I haven't contacted my MP, I guess we will just wait and see; since it is because of the strike I don't think even the MP can do anything about it. Thanks for the kind words, hopefully I will be able to bring some good news next time!

Thanks gamyover , Im hoping This nightmare is over Soon !! Yes for sure ok so they ask me for the PGR letter (non criminal) , updated and comple A schedule including information about refugee claim & reason for decisión and order regarding applicatin's refugee claim in canada . I lived in canada for 5 years but i wasnt able to stay so im guessing thats why they ask me for all of this documents :) not sure if they will ask u for this too !

Oh I see, no I've never been in Canada, so that doesn't apply to me, but anyway good luck. I hope you finish soon, for me just starting with sending the papers and being freak out because the package service said they would be there today and something went wrong, so maybe tomorrow :-\

We got PPR today!
I hope this gives everyone else some hope. Even though there is a "strike" going on it seems as though they are still working on applications. We were requested additional documents on May 28, sent them in the first week of June, and now have FINALLY received PPR. I wish everyone in this forum the best and special thanks to Leisa who has been so hopeful not just with me but with so many other people on this forum :)

Congrats Smontenegro!! So exciting! Very happy to see the process is finally over! And this is good news for everyone else :)

Thanks, LeisaP!
Did you send in a cover letter along with the passport and address confirmation? If so could you give me an idea of what you wrote on the letter? Thanks so much :) We are beyond thrilled! We have been waiting for this day for over a year.
