Leisa , Im still waiting for them to contact me this seriously feels like the longest wait ever !!! my husband´s MP never wrote back to us he call and they told him they recived it but they haven't write anything back so I don't know whether I should contact the Mexican embassy or just keep on waiting ! what do you think its best ? :'( :'( :'( Im going crazy !!! :'( :'( :'(

When the MP contacts CIC they get put on a waitlist to hear back about your file.
So the MP could be just on a waitlist now waiting for CIC to call them back with some updates.
wait a bit longer and see if u hear anything

I would call them maybe Friday or Monday and ask if they have heard anything to make sure they didn't forget about you.

My MP replied and said that they informed him that the strike wont affect our application.

well... i learned yesterday that the mexican consulate (at least the one in vancouver) gives away letters requesting police certificates too easily and the PGR offices down in mexico didn't quite like that.

but the heck with that, if they're giving them they're giving them.

nothing more to report on my side... :/

We should be able to pick up our PGR in about 10 days and then send it to the embassy via FedEx or DHL. =)

Hi guys, I wonder if there are any updates on the strike? I delivered my PGR police record two Fridays ago and its validity expires on June 27th. What might happen if they retake our file past that date because of the strike? Do you think they might dare to ask us to get a new one?! ???

I've been pretty quiet while getting my application together so I didn't stress too much about things I didn't have or did differently. It's sitting on my desk right now waiting to be picked up and CIC will receive it tomorrow. I can't wait for it to be out of my hands!

Lucky you I've been working in my app for a while by now and even I feel I'm getting close to the end it seems like it never ends, I wanted to apply in June but now I think it's going to be the beginning of July.

Good luck in your process, I cant' wait to get to the point where my application is in the mail.

A girl I know that is going through Mexico just got her PPR. after only 1 month wait from sending in the ARC.

Usually the arc takes 2 months to process, so that's a good sign applications aren't being delayed because of the strike

From start to finish, the whole app took us 2 and a half months. I thought it would never end either then, the clouds parted and the sun shone and it all came together so beautifully. Good luck to you, too! I'm dreading the wait but, so glad I don't have to work on the app anymore.
