ugh that is so frustrating!!, I wish the government would just give them a new contract already and settle this once and for all. I don't mind having more of my tax money go to them if they are working efficiently and getting there job done to get families back together.
But this stale mate is just annoying

I work as a teacher in BC and I totally understand their frustrations but sucks for our timing. He's supposed to fly end of July if he was approved. I'm starting to panic because they will have a pile of applications waiting. Waaaaaaa! :(
Otherwise I have to fly down but We planned for him to meet my parents. Just. Our. Luck! :(

This is bad news, though I don't see anything about a walk-out in Mexico City. I assume the "slowed processing of visas in Mexico City" that started earlier is still in effect though... praying!!

October wasn't very along ago.
when we sent in our app, the last pictures we included were November 2011 and mexico city didn't process our file until summer of 2012. so that wont be a problem at all.
if they happen to need more evidence just provide what you have like phone call records, emails, facebook etc. but I don't think they will ask for more evidence.

thankz leisa :)

Srry guys but Im not understanding this strike :S it means they are gonna take longer wit our process ? IM LOST !

according to the last news report, processing visas and applications in Mexico city is going slower than usual.

If i am sending in additional documents to the visa office, do i need to include any other information on the actual envelope aside from my mailing address and the mexico city VO mailing address?

inside the courier envelope, you should make sure there is a folder or paper right on top with your Name, and file number, so that's the first thing they see when they open it and get the documents added to your file asap.

Yeah its always better to include a paper with your name client id date of birth country of place. And even better attach a copy of the email where the extra documents were requested

So my husband finally got an email from the VO requesting more information and also an FBI police report, because they think he lived in USA but he didn't he only traveled there alot because his parents live there and friends also. I'm so frustrated because only now they attached the AOR even tho the application was received April 3 in Mexico. It says if he doesn't provide all info in 60 days he will be refused I'm freaking out because it says on the website it takes 16-18 weeks for the FBI report. Can anyone help with that? :(

Even if he never lived there, they are asking becuase he has traveled alot there. They ask for the fbi alot also from anyone that lived in a border state even if they have never been to the USA. Most likely to make sure they never tried crossing illegally. But anyways just apply for the FBI right away. And if it takes longer than the 60 days, you can email them closer to the deadline and tell them you are still waiting for the results and ask for an extension. They are fine with giving extensions as long as you let them know before the deadline whats going on. So they can confirm you re working on it and have no just tried to avoid the request. :) dont worry about it! Just do it as soon as u can
