I think you should be getting news pretty soon if we go by our own timeline, our app was received by CPC-M on June 1st/12, sponsor approved Oct 12/12, VO AOR Dec 4/12, "In Process" Jan 17/13, PPR Mar 26/13. So that's more or less 9 months with two weeks since filing, considering that we "lost" approximately 2 months because our medicals expired and they decided to request new ones.

Anyways I'd say keep your fingers crossed that you will receive your passport request in the next few days, just keep checking your email box or the address you entered in your IMM 0008!

yes, we already knew we were approved i just hope we get the passports back quickly...we already bought the tickets for the 17th!

Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew how long it typically takes the mexico city embassy to request your passport after you send in your pgr? We also had to redo our medical exam which they have already received. Also would they have already requested an interview at this point?
Does anybody know if we are at the end of this process?

in our case it took approximately 7 weeks from the time we sent in the PGR until they asked us to send the passports (PPR)...you should be at the end.

good luck, I know how it feels to miis your spouse...i hope things go quickly for you...and yes, I think if they havent already asked you most likely wont have an interview!

We sent in the pgr on tuesday....however our case has been open since january 2012. we had some problems obtaining the military card for the pgr so the embassy had granted us many exntensions. we are very grateful. The only thing they were waiting on was the pgr so i wonder that now that they have it if we will hear back quickly, since our file has been open for so long? Im sure they would have already denied us by now? wouldnt you think?

Chuladaa, what happened with us is that we had done the medicals long before submitting the application, so basically when we finally were ready to apply the medicals were about to reach the expiration date but we decided to file anyways, expecting them to send us some form to re-do the medicals. In the end they sent the whole application package and documentation back to us which translated into approximately 2 months wasted Anyways the VO apparently made up for the wasted time because once in their hands the application ran swiftly. We did not expect PPR until around mid April, when in fact they emailed us the first request on Jan. 18/2013!

I hope you get your medical request soon but I'm sorry I'm not familiar with the info for medical examiners in the Mexico area.

My god... I was approved as sponsor on Jan. 22 and the wait is SO hard. Impressed by those of you who have been waiting far longer... but you are also so much closer.

we didn't receive anything from the embassy so around the 5 month mark we decided to email them and than they contacted us back finally and started asking for stuff.

but most people receive an AOR (acknowledgement of receipt) anywhere from 1-3 months. so u still have a bit of waiting to do.
if you don't hear anything after 3 months than you should send any email asking about the file.

Hi thankz !! I have another question once the application is send to the mexican embassy can they still refuse it ? & if the embassy never contacts me how will I knoe when to get the non criminal record thing ? ! Sorry lol this is all new to us and we are a bit stress about with because we dont really know what are the next steps
