Yes, just include a cover letter indicating you are sending a pre paid way bill for the PGR request, and you can put all your info on the cover letter. It doesn't hurt to send it now. Being pro active def seems to help :) DHL I believe gives you a waybill.. I'll have to check that, but we didn;t send an envelope.. just the waybill (or equivalent). The address is:

The Canadian Embassy
Immigration Section
Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra 193

Embassy is moving along this week!

I just got an email from them asking basically for 4 things:

1.Undergo medical examinations.(Are these the same i already sent? and are they asking because the previous ones expired?)

2.Provide our office with original police certificates from the following places. (PGR Letter´s on it´s way and we already sent the SSP)

3.Please pay for the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) for you.

4.Please submit a complete Sponsor Questionnaire (IMM5540) bearing an original signature. (They had asked for this document when the application was in Missisuaga, has any one had the embassy asked for this document again? I don´t recall anyone mentioning it)

I also remember reading somewhere that once they ask for the PGR and SSP is almost safe to say the interview has been waived, any comments on this??

I´m getting so excited and it seems I´ll be making a trip to Mexico City next week for the medicals.

For the medical, from your timeline it looks like you did them on Oct 11, 2011 so almost a year ago. They expire after a year. If they were all done with processing everything else within 15 months from the day yu completed the medical exam, they could request an extension for an additional hear based on OB-423 (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob423.asp). So, you could consider e-mailing them asking if there's any chance they could ask for an extension. Some people have reported success with other visa offices after asking (see http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/medical-exam-validity-extension-for-additional-12-months-new-cic-bulletin-t106229.0.html). It sounds like they still have some processing left so you could wait a few days to hear back from the Embassy if you send them a case specific enquiry. Of course, if you want to go to Mexico City, don't let this stop you :)

2. I would tell them you already sent the PCs to them and include any tracking info you have in the same case specific enquiry.

3. This is good news - RPRF usually is requested shortly before issuance if you didn't pay it upfront

4. Other VO have asked for updated forms to make sure the information is updated and it sounds like thy need an original signature on it. Just double check everything for accuracy, update the date, sign and send off.

Congratulations!!!

My wife is from Mexico, and I are applying inland. How long does it take for them to transfer the file after the sponsor has been approved? I was approved as a sponsor on Aug 10.

For ECAS, does it change from being under me to being under my wife, or will everything be under myself?

Thank you in advanced.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses!

Ok, before asking for the extension I want to make sure they are asking for the same thing. Last year I had to print the appendix C and fill it out, now they are sending me a form called IM1017 but they are basically running the same tests.

I think I saw LeisaP´s husband had to get his meds redone, Leisa would you mind sharing?

For the PGR letter i already answered back saying i sent a prepaid waybill and the ssp

Mu husband´s address did change during the process so maybe that´s why they´re asking for a new questionnaire, and about the RPRF im just happy to read your comment.

Do you have any insight on the interview?

Dave I´m applying outland so this might be different but we got sponsor´s approval on Aug 1 and just got my AOR from the visa office last week, so it took 2 months for that.

For ECAS once I got my AOR it automatically showed under my name and UCI

The likelihood is low for an interview at this point (based primarily on the RPRF request).

BTW, make sure that you pay the RPRF in pesos with a cheque that follows the bank-specific instructions re number of signatures, payee, etc at http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/mexico-mexique/visas/fees-frais.aspx?lang=eng&view=d . If you pay online at this point you will introduce a delay because the outland visa offices cannot process online payments so it would have to to through CPC-M.

Re the updated questionnaire, it may very well be due to the address change to ensure they have the latest info signed. Just be meticulous in checking it, put n/a anywhere that doesn't apply to you and send it off with the cheque.

Unless I've missed something your case will be on a different timeline than LeisaP's since her partner needs an ARC. In your case, given the request for RPRF the visa issuance is likely imminent unless something pops up when they get the police certificates.

Take a look at http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/inland-application-2011-t67267.6465.html for some example timelines. Inland applications seem to be speeding up lately.

I think you should be able to see both applications under your UCI throughout the process and your wife's part only under her UCI.

Hi guys!
For those of you who are very familiar with the Québec process, can you please check out my last post on the "MÉXICO/QUÉBEC ONLY" thread...
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/mexicoquebec-only-questions-experiences-t102521.15.html

I need some clarification on the whole Québec-specific process. Thanks!!
