Oh thats good then :) Sorry to hear about your troubles with the SSP, how frusterating :(

Just thought i would pop in and say hello, havent been around the forum alot lately since we are still stuck in the first step and its frusturating, but our documents were sent today so hopefully we will get approval soon and get this show on the road !

Edgar - What annoying news for you !! The good news is there isnt anything else they could possibly ask for ! My question to you is what kind of ban did you recieve ? I am not sure if we will need one since my fiance's ban (one year) was lifted on August 17th, so he should be ok once the we are transfered to DF, I would think, but now hearing your news I am wondering if we are going to have to also do the ARC process....

Congradulations to all that got thier PPR's and PRG requests ! Inbox me your updates and I can update the spreadsheet for everyone.

Technically I have a Departure Order Becomes Deportation Order. I've been asking this ever since 2009. The first time I asked them I told them that according to the Immigration Act, accompanying family members are not considered PDPs (Previously Deported Person) and therefore did not require an ARC. The officer agreed with me and said I didn't need one, but that there was an "error in the system" and he would try to fix it. Then I asked a year later and they told me "You do need one, but we won't charge you for it" and now they finally went the safe way and asked me for the ARC PLUS the fee >:( I'm hoping they approve it to get all this done and over with.

LeisaP - how did it go with requesting the Refugee documents?

I have to do the same for my husband. He doesnt have the paperwork from when he was deported.
I contacted them today (his is from Monteal) they said they only accept requests by fax and that i couldnt do it the letter has to be from my husband.
He needs to provide his name, dob, client id (which he doesnt have), reason for needing the copies, and an address and phne number for where they need to send it to.

ah its a headache.

did they tell you where he should send the request too /

i found a company called caipscheck

that said they could request the form for us, my husband just had to fill out the consent and such.

but i am going to get him too fill out two one with my info and one with the company info. so incase somehting happens i can just request it myself.

also, if you give them enough info about him. like his name date of birth, address in canada at that time. dates of the hearing etc. they should be able to find it without his client id.

Where was the location you were talking to. Thats strange because the man i spoke to said there was no way to give consent and they it could only be from my husband. He said my husband write a letter and sends it by fax and then thats it that it takes a coupe weeks and as long as my husbands says to mail it to me they will send it to be. I dont know anything about a form?
But I was told I had to call Montreal because that was the city he was deported from so maybe each location is differnt. I will call again tomorrow and see if I get a differnt person and what they say
