They probably have it, but it isn´t in the system yet or whatever.

When we sent our PGR, we ended up going to mexico city a few days after DHL said they got it, to hand in the SSP.

When we were there we took the opportunity to ask if they had received the PGR certificate. The guy checked on the system and said it wasn´t in there yet. But the DHL trackind said it had been there for 3 or 4 days.

So when I told the guy that, he said it takes about a week or so to get sorted so not to worry.

oh okay!! great thanks!
thats a bit of a relief!, so its definatly there, they just havent put it in yet.

;D

Do you think it's faster to drop documents off in person?

It probably is faster in person! I think the person you hand it to probably just puts it into your file once they have it...so it doesn´t have to go through the whole mail sorting process.

It´s less stressful that´s for sure! Because then you now 100% that they got it and it´s there! :D

The only thing we sent by DHL (other than the original package) was the PGR cetificate. And we took a print screen of the DHL tracking that had the name of the person who signed for it and the date/hour it was received by them... (plus we made a copy before sending it off) just as extra precautions!!! :P

That's great too that you actually got to speak to someone who could tell you what info they have received. I think he'll go to drop off his PGR in person, I'll get him to ask if it shows medicals received on their end!

Dont worry leisa, I am sure everything is okay :) Hopefully your waybill comes back asap so you guys can get the PGR ball rolling!

My ecas is not working when I try to log into it, is this normal?

Ecas is working for me. And there have been changes since we got to Canada. They finally updated my mailing address. That took months. And the status changed from Decision Made to Complete.

Do you remember when did it change from "In process" to "Decision made"?

Mine still said in process when we got the PPR and even like a week after we had the visa in our hands, it still said in process.

I just checked it, and now it says decision made. But I have no idea when it was changed, as I haven´t checked my ecas since about a week after we had the visa already.

Okay thanks!

I'm right now at that stage of the process where I feel powerless. CIC has officially told me to not bother them anymore until they contact me. I can only hope they're finalizing everything to send me my PPR. :-X

Yes. The same day they mailed our visa out. After PPR.

My husband's PGR letter arrived today via regular mail (I have no idea how that happened). He's going to Mex City monday to get the PGR. Question.. the photos he needs, I know someone said need to be the oval ones.. are there any other specifics I should know about the photos?

Also, where can he get his fingerprints done in mex city?

Congrats :)

The photos are called tamaño filial. They are very close up from the front and from the side and have specific requirements like no facial hair, ears and forehead fully visible, no glasses, no piercings, no makeup on a white background.

The PGR forensics division will take them as part of the process.

Thanks! The letter also says that the purpose is for temporary residency.. is that normal? even though he's applying for PR?
