okay great! i will be checking ecase everyday. waiting for medicals receieved now lol. :D

and do you think they should be sending the pgr letter shortly after medicals received? now that we changed my husbands address to mexico and are sending the prepaid waybill.

They definitely should. The thing is that you always need to have an updated medical exam. After they have that they continue processing your application, you should get it soon :)

yay! i hope we do!

i just talked to one of our close friends. he is being sponsored by his common-law, going through paris office
and she got approved for step 1 in the middle of june
and today he got his copr already!
it only took just under 2 months for him to get it!!. im so jealous

paris is so fast!!

update: Our package is now in Mexico City, hopefully it gets to Cancun by the end of the day! :D

When we want to give something to the Canadian embassy in person, in reference to our file (additional proof of common-law as well as police checks) what should I put on the cover page?

I always type a letter with the following at the upper right hand corner:

Applicant: (Full name here)
UCI: ------
File number: --------

Then I type the following:

Dear Immigration officer:

I am attaching to this letter the following additional documents as requested:

(Description of document here like, PGR police check)

I appreciate your time and I look forward hear from you soon regarding the status of my application for permanent residence.

Sincerely,

(applicant's full name and signature)

It has worked pretty well so far :)

That's great that you will see each other!! Did you get the medicals done?

He has made an appointment for his daugher in Mexico city now, so its in about 2 weeks time. We talked to CIC and they have advised that as long as the medical is done and we fax a copy to them within 30 days we will meet our requirements, I was pretty worried about the courier arriving in time. So I think we will be ok, I will let my breath go when we get on to the second stage lol !

The embassy of Mexico in Canada is suppose to do it, but unfortunatly are refusing to (talked to both the embassy of mexico and the SSP a few days ago) We have the same problem and will be flying a direct relative out to get the SSP for us. Good luck and if you happen to find another way please post it on here!

when my husband called the lady on the phone said 3060 pesos.
but we found on their website that the price is 2865 pesos.
so he took the paper with him this morning... who knows what they actually charged him. anyways i will still let you know :)
