Edgar: any sign of the FBI yet? We are still waiting. Called to follow up and the #*&! credit card was declined !!! Why does that always happen when I use my USD MasterCard in the U.S. even when there are no charges on it !!!! Anyway, payment was just resubmitted using the regular MC so I guess it will be at least another month before that is done. Not that it was actually requested, but I guess glitches are par for the course regardless.

I am sitting on my hands trying to keep myself from emailing the embassy yet again for status but don't know how long that will last.

Any bets on when the next 'batch' will come out? Arrrghhhhhh. And, a deep breath

How can I call to find out if there are any updates and what info do I give them so they can locate it? On Monday it will be 4 weeks and I haven't heard anything. I had my uncle buy a money order in San Diego and attach it to the application.

Do you perchance have a copy of it somewhere? Or, does your suegra remember if she got it same day (maybe even the address?) ... back then the SSP was on Xola near the Torre de Mexicana? If you didn't have an official request letter from a government entity, it's unlikely that it was the PGR...

Okay will get working on that then since our sponsorship approval is suppose to be coming next week. Now to see if my SO's birth certificate has arrived... have I said today how much I love dealing with the Mexican government?? Lol.

but if you get unlucky like us... we never recieved one and its been 3 months since the transfer.

i would say it takes about 1-2 weeks. from sponsor approval email.

No it didn't sound as though the prints were a problem - just the silly credit card! The first time we did the FBI we sent in a money order; and this time I was too lazy to go down to the bank and sent in the credit card form. You'd think I would know better by now. Ha! Will probably call right now. Btw I just checked the Fedex tracking number and just now it tells me that there are two shipments under that tracking#
One has the date I mailed it (June 21st) and the other one has today's date. I'm hoping this means they already mailed it out.

I think that is a very good sign! Isn't Fedex tracking great?

Just got off the phone with customer service. My fingerprints were readable and it has been completed. It will be mailed out next week. yayy!

OhC, that sounds positive. As soon as that comes in my husband will walk over the original AND email it by case specific inquiry. Maybe that will light a fire under a behind or two. Or not. We'll see!

It will light a fire! You have to be millimeters away from a PPR. They just need a push.

In the interest of pro-activity (is that even a word?) my hubby is going to get the SSP. With the meds now redone and the new FBI in the works, I think that will bring all of our documents current. We are sooooooo praying for good news before summer is out. All crossables are crossed.
