Thank you all for your replies!

I'll wait a week or so after moving day and make up my mind then whether I'll tell them or not. I'm hopeful that by then I'll have the FBI document with me. :)

I didn't make a copy of my application either, however I made copies of the updated forms that they asked for. I don't think it would be a problem, what can they ask that you wouldn't know by heart anyway? Has anyone read experiences regarding landing? All the ones I've read were pretty straightforward when the point of entry is an airport.

Almost all landings are easy, pleasant, smooth experiences. Every so often they can dig in and do a more in-depth interview either because the border officer has questions or because the file is flagged for some reason or another (e.g., random document check to assure program integrity).

IIRC, it was within the last month that someone reported his/her common-law spouse was turned back at the border when they tried to land - they asked them for a bank statement, which they didn't have with them so they were turned back and asked to return two weeks later. Some people may just shrug and move on - staying in the US or back home - but I can imagine that in some situations turning back would have a higher emotional toll if people are waiting for you or you have plans already. Hence, the better safe than sorry perspective of having the original docs you submitted with your application with you just in case.

In Gmail you just go to settings and click the forwarding tab. It is easy.
