The downfall of not hearing anything until the end, is until then you can't make any plans, and are left scrambling to do everything to get to Canada asap. I'm sure it's a happy scrambling but still. :)
Yep it is happy scrambling for sure. I am stressed but whenever I think of WHY I am stressed, I get a smile on my face. My husband is having a harder time leaving his hometown but...oh well! I can't wait to get outta here!

I don't agree with that. I sent in proof that I had moved back to Canada so I wouldn't have to deal with them asking for further evidence and I think it sped the process up. They ASK us to send info that is pertinent to the case. I think if you send the evidence in you will save time on having them ask you for it which means your file gets put in a drawer.

but if you send a new medical. when they may not need it. that might slow things down. no?

but what do you mean proof you moved back to canada?

i guess it might be different for every case to and depends on what IO is working on your case ???

Yeah i would think it would be harder for your husband, because its his home town and he probably would have way more things to wrap up than we do!.
but once that scramble is over. its going to be amazingggg ;D
i cant wait for the day we touch our little towns on canadian soil! haha :P

by towns i meant toes!!!! haha oops

Yes I was thinking about you. :) I'm sure it's stressful.. just not as stressful as waiting :)

When we submitted the app, I still lived in California and had to prove I would move back to Canada with my husband. Right before approval, I moved back to Canada although after 3.5 weeks I came back to California to wait with my husband. If they weren't satisfied with my evidence they could ask me to submit more proving that I was going to move back to Canada. But I emailed them with scanned documents proving I had already moved back to Canada which I think sped up the process. They didn't have to worry about whether I was moving back or not. A Buffalo applicant was just contacted for more evidence that she was going to move back to Canada which could delay the case. I nipped it in the bud.

The medical can be extended now so I would not worry about that.

Congrats on approval! When was your application received?

CIC is doing crazy stuff. They just started on the first 10 days of April and at the same time the END of May is getting approved! They skipped almost two months! So there are two lines, one lucky and one unlucky lol! One person (may 28) just waited 38 days for approval while others in early April are 80-90 and still haven't gotten approval.

dont even remind me its so depressing :( hopefully ours come soon! Hope your packing goes smoothly :)

Ignore the May thread. They are up to April 10 so you will hear something soon and that is all that matters!

I know I should ignore it but its hard not to get mad when people are getting approval after waiting half the time of us, sigh - oh well, what can you do.

oo okay!
yeah that would speed up the process alot! it makes sense that you would send that. and probabaly good that you did. ;D
your lucky than!.

fortunatly we didnt have to prove that. because i never lived outside of canada. and only left to mexico for 6 months after we already applied.
from what i heard it seems like a pain to try to prove your intent to move back.

anyways im glad it sped things up for you! ;D
yeah thats wat i was thinking, with the new extension in place, its best we dont redo it unless we are asked. otherwise we might just waste our money.

I hear ya ! But we are getting close for sure, I am currently at 83 days and you are at 77, so I am betting we hear something next week ! Just a matter of timing really, had we submitted 5 months earlier it would have been super fast, however feb or march would have been awful, so at least we are in a time where things are speeding up a bit, even if they are speeding right by us !
