Hi, just a small note that we can update the spreadsheet...
I got the long waited answer that allows me to be a sponsor for my wife... i got it today :P !!!!! :D:D:D:D:D
I will have now to send some papers to MICC (as I live in quebec)
And I look forward as everybody to be reunited to our families :P
Congrats on approval! When was your application received?

CIC is doing crazy stuff. They just started on the first 10 days of April and at the same time the END of May is getting approved! They skipped almost two months! So there are two lines, one lucky and one unlucky lol! One person (may 28) just waited 38 days for approval while others in early April are 80-90 and still haven't gotten approval.

was received to mississauga april 10 and got it today july 10 :) !!!!! :D:D:D:D
even there I consider myself lucky... as we dont get AOR... we get nervous... asking ourselves if they have the package of if it's lost.... ???

It would be nice if they at least responded to your e-mail.

yeah no kidding.
tomorrow will be exactly 2 full weeks. if they dont respond, i may write another email next week.
im scared to be too pushy.

i spoke with our immigration consultant and she said that in step 2. the cic process is not to contact you until your application is finalized or they request documents.
she also said to not send CIC any extra information (meaning, a new medical, ours expired, or extra evidence) because this may confuse them and slow the process, and that i was approved in step 1 so that meant our application was complete and regular.

so pretty much she said "cool your jets woman, everything is fine"
haha :P
so it made me relax a bit, she is very qualified and has helped alot of our friends through PR processes. so i guess i should take what she said into consideration. :)

Yeah I'm trying to look back over the spreadsheet to get an idea of how long it will be, but it does seem like you don't hear anything until like you said they are in the final stages or need additional information. I guess if 5 months is average, the 3 month mark I think is where we should start expecting something.

yeah i agree.it seems like mexico is processing much faster than last year. and it seems like everyone on our thread has a pretty straightforward application. :)
i think even if they take a bit longer. we will hear something before end of august. i have a gut feeling about it. but who knows right.

hope for the best. getting back to canada before the end of the year would be perfect!. :D

The downfall of not hearing anything until the end, is until then you can't make any plans, and are left scrambling to do everything to get to Canada asap. I'm sure it's a happy scrambling but still. :)

I don't agree with that. I sent in proof that I had moved back to Canada so I wouldn't have to deal with them asking for further evidence and I think it sped the process up. They ASK us to send info that is pertinent to the case. I think if you send the evidence in you will save time on having them ask you for it which means your file gets put in a drawer.
