Congrats!!!! Let us know how your landing goes! :D

Yes I'm curious about that as well!

Does the visa office send email requests or update anything on weekends. or just weekdays?

Oh definitely! I will let you know.

My ecas still says app received. Never said in process and still doesn't say decision made.

The address was my only clue. The day it popped up, we got the AOR from Mexico. Yesterday I noticed it had been adjusted and today we get the PPR.

thank you for the prompt and detailed response! From the CIC site, for the 'Informe de Datos Registrales', it says she needs to submit fingerprints, pictures, and a letter quoting our client ID and some other information. Am I right in understanding that she could do all of that in Mexico, and send it to the Canadian Embassy in Mexico City? Like the same as if she was to do it in Canada, she can do it in Mexico, and send it to the same place?
Yes, since she lives in Canada. If she already has her fingerprints, you're golden. If not, that may be the challenging part in making this happen - have her start asking around soon, perhaps even at the local PGR.

And for the SSP, she can try going to a Mexican Consulate to ask if they will process it, or else she can go directly to Mexico City and get it from the Canadian Embassy there?

Thanks again!!!
Not quite - she (or you) can call the Mexican Consulate in Canada closest to where you live to ask if they will process it. If so, you'll have to see if you can drop of the documents for her (since she isn't in Canada right now). If not, she - or a direct family member - will have to go to the SSP in Mexico City to get it from them. The Canadian Embassy is not involved in getting this relatively new requirement (or at least not yet)

Excellent, that clears up a lot of confusion for me - thank you very much. She doesn't have any fingerprints taken, so she'll have to look into doing that first, but at least I know where to start!

Help! I am about to mail my husband's passport but I am not sure which address.

The website has this one:

Embassy of Canada
Schiller 529, Col. Bosque de Chapultepec (Polanco)
Del. Miguel Hidalgo
11580 Mexico City, D.F.
Mexico

The bottom of the PRR has

Canadian Embassy in Mexico
Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra 193
Col. Granada, Del. Miguel Hidalgo
CP.11520, Mexico D.F

what are GCMS notes?

Didnt someone say a few pages back that the embassy changed locations last week??...i think i remember reading this. but i dont want to say for sure in case i am wrong.

but seeing as the letter has the bottom address on it that would seem to be the accurate one i would say. sometimes they dont update the website for a while.

Congratulations on your PPR!!!!! Sorry guys I haven't been around as much, my best friend from Tijuana wanted to visit me here in Mexico City before I leave to Canada, so I'm keeping myself busy by eating junk food and taking him to all the touristy spots!

The address is the one in Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra 193. Do NOT send it to Schiller, that place has been a haunted house for the past year or so.

for a year!! wow. so they seriously need to update their website. LOL

Oh thanks for helping with the address! I just mailed it out. I am paranoid I forgot something or made an error on the prepaid waybill. It should arrive on Wednesday. Hoping the turn around is fast. I included the passport, our Canadian address, cell phone number and put the file number on the envelope. Also included the PPR. Today changed my life!

Actually they still use the Schiller address for us Canadians in Mexico who need stuff from the embassy! (I had to go there a few weeks ago for some stuff)

But all of the visa and immigration stuff is at the Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra address!
