Hi there :) - that's nice of her. She will need his birth certificate, copy of passport or IFE, and a 'comprobante de domicilio' in addition to a power of attorney and an official ID of her own. See this page for instructions. Also, consider calling +52-55-5242-8100 x18705 to double check the latest requirements and office address (they may be moving).

LeisaP - the fingerprints are required for the PGR, not the new SSP requirements. ;)

oh okay! thats good to know! thanks! :)

Sponsorship has now been approved as of July 3-12!! :D I have logged on to CAS. It just says the app has been received. Give it a couple more days?? Also, my husband has since moved, and needs to change his address. Will I be able to do that on CAS?

That will make things much easier. Hopefully it's smoother sailing now that we're out of that mess!

Congrats again!! Glad to see good news in the Mexico thread. I got an AOR from Mexico pretty fast and that helps. I'm starting to go nuts again though. I finally gave in and emailed them but they'll probably just delete it, LOL.

What's the first thing you will expect after receiving the AOR from Mexico City? What's the next step?

Hi All,

I just wanted to share with you that the SSP office has moved from Xola st. in colonia del valle to Tlalpan No. 2962, Colonia Espartaco, Delegacion Coyoacan, Mexico, D.F. C.P. 04870 + 52(55) 52 42 81 00 from 14:00 to 17:00hrs. monday to friday.

Both websites SSP and CIC are not updated but when you get to Xola st. location you can see a sign there with the new address and no one else working there.

I travelled 6hrs to get to Mexico city just to get that letter and when I got to Xola st and saw that sign I was not happy at all they didnt update that information on their websites. Probably CIC doesnt even know yet. They started working at the new office last July 2nd. afterwards I was able to get to the new location with other people I met there by "metrobus" and "micro" (and it´s far).

For me it was AOR then medicals received on ecas. Now I'm waiting for in process and then passport request. We don't have to do Mexican police clearance but my AOR said they were mailing it to me that day.

Congrats on getting sponsorship approval!

And yes they will send you an AOR from Mexico city (mine took about 2 and a half months after sponosrship approval!) and that AOR letter will probably say they are mailing you a letter so you can get the PGR certificate (this letter took like a month and a half to get to me, but it probably depends where they are sending it to!)

You need to receive this letter before you go get the PGR cert? That sucks to wait for it in the mail, it takes forever there.

We got the AOR in 2.5 weeks so maybe they're doing it earlier. You could try sending them a prepaid waybill.

Oh so it takes about 2 and a half months to receive the AOR from mexico city!
thats good to know
because ours was mailed to them in middle of april and i havent heard anything from them so i was started to get a little worried!
But now i feel a bit of releif that im not the only one that is taking forever to get AOR letter.

also hearing that they moved locations might cause a couple days or a week delay too.

so now im hoping we get an AOR in the next week or 2!! :)
