Another silly question - If the sponsorship approval takes 75 days, is this included in the 13 month wait for approval or is this in addition to the 13 months ? I have a bad feeling its in addition ...

I think its included.. in the 13 months, but maybe someone else can chime in that knows for sure. The typical wait time (based on what I've seen on the board, is 6 months for PR)

That has me thinking, we should make a spreadsheet for Mexico! Anyone have any idea how to do that?

Thats what i have noticed too, ooooh I sure hope that its right ! I dont think our case is very complicated so hopefully it goes fast ! I would be in the happiest girl in the world if its six months !!

I think thats a good idea, I think i may know, let me give it a shot, I have looked at the others and it should be fairly simple, stay tuned, I will try and get something together for tomorrow, I am an accountant so if I cant make a spreadsheet I am in trouble !

Me too! my SO is here in Canada now so its all just a waiting game for us.. I think we have a pretty simple case, hopefully the VO thinks so too :)

LOL! Sounds good :) Missmymexi, are you applying Common-law?

Yep, we are applying common law because of my 3 year divorce (almost done !), we were trying to figure out how we can marry but its complicated with him not being able to come here since we have to wait one year to be wed in Mexico, I think we had this conversation !

oh and I have the spreadsheet on the go, easier than I thought !

No it's separate. But in reality step 2 is much shorter than 13 months. Someone here said step 2 is 6-9 months.

I'd love that! I think maybe you just grab another spreadsheet and delete everyone's info.

LOL, oh yeah I remember now! We did, i'm sorry! Well Common-law/spouse from what I understand are treated the same.. so that's good for us. :)
