i am a January 2017 applicant ... my application just got transferred to MVO on March 10th.
Currently waiting for AOR2 ... Anyone have possible estimates of how long it take? ;D

Look at my timeline, mine was quick
But know applicants from December that are still waiting
Maybe its because they requested documents from me that i got it faster, who knows!
I would say after a month or so, contact them. They are notorious for losing files.

I am from September 2016.

There was an update on ECAS on December 22nd saying that they received our file (in Mexico city), but the actual AOR2 email didn't come until first week of March.

It can take anywhere from 1 month and a half to 4 months from what I have seen to get the third line on ECAS. Not necessarily an email from what I have seen.

Do you have a third line on ecas in the principal applicant side that says they started processing your application?

I think they require the original but I am not 100%. I would scan it, email and send a hard copy. If someone can't give you a for sure answer just to be safe.
Things look like they are moving for you good! Hopefully the rest of us aren't too far behind.

Thanks ya to me it feels like a good sign I didn't realize antecedentes policiales is what was needed my wife had done the antecedentes penales.

She is going today to do it gonna quickly send the scanned copy and then mail the official copy although I'm not even sure who I would mail it to and if it would need to be translated to english.

Usually you need to send the original and a translated. She might be able to get a translated copy from the same place she will get it from. Tell her to ask them. If they don't offer a translated copy, she needs to translate it and include the affidavit of whoever made the translation. At least that is the way it's done for the Dominican Republic. But I would say it would be the same way for Honduras or any other Hispanic country, they need an english translation.

You are correct they need to have the signed official copy and the official translation.
Where i live i am lucky the translator works for immigration canada as an official translator so she has signed documents from CIC to officiate her translations.

Yes same date as the email. Have not heard anything since however.

Hi everyone,

My spouse got an email from the MCVO today to acknowledge receipt of his email containing attachments of IMM 5669 (Schedule A background declaration) and Supplement 1 to background declaration as per instructions from VO in Mexico. It also said that they had not yet received our file as it is still in transit.

I received an email on March 13 that our file had been forwarded to the VO in Mexico, the last correspondence we got from IRCC.

Just wondering if it is normal for it to take 10 days or more for a file to get physically transferred to the VO. It seems like a really long time for a file to be in transit. I sure hope they did not lose it! :o

Mine only took from dec 16 to dec 21st to be transferred
10 days isnt that long i seen people waiting longer than that for some reasons. Makes me wonder why too.
Maybe it depends on the country where the applicant resides. Who knows eh

Thanks! That is a sort of a relief to know that it took even longer for others. I wonder if they send the applications out to the VO's in batches and ours has been sitting around until they got enough apps to send off to Mexico?
I guess I will have to just wait and hope it will eventually get there. I just find it odd that they ask for the forms before the file gets to the VO and also that they gave us a deadline to submit the forms by April 1 (because they sent the request on March 2) when the actual application might only get there just before that date.

The many mysteries of how sponsorship apps are processed!!

The files they requested had a deadline of April as well. This request came at the beginning of February for me, so I'm hoping I get AOR2 before the deadline. The big batch of applications is schedule to leave CIC this Friday and it will arrive MVO before our deadlines :D. (I hope so)

MSB (Mangu power) got her app transferred when they were about to send a batch, the last batch of the year 2016. My theory holds!
