I would leave it alone since tracking info says it was received. Was there a name provided to know who signed for it? Maybe like Octavio or Oswaldo like i've been seeing on this forum?
Signed for by O.Salinas!

Alrighty! :D That's Oswaldo!

Looks like it's in good hands but if ever that thought still comes to mind do your thing. I feel that if it should cause a delay it would not be a big one. Some others would say better safe than sorry.

Just have a random question...

We are still in the early stages of our app, just got AOR1 yesterday! We assume that our file will be transferred to Mexico, my husband is applying from Guatemala. But I read somewhere that some outland files get sent to Ottawa instead sometimes for some reason? Did I read that wrong? If that's the case, why would a certain application be processed in Ottawa vs Mexico?

You didn't read that wrong but it would be for another country or countries. Until now I've never read about an app that was meant to go to Mexico and then was changed to Ottawa. It would be nice if they started this now or just processed our apps faster, one or the other! I've asked a similar question before so I might know where you're coming from with this question. Winter is coming and we need our spouses with us ;) (winter or not actually haha)

Hi nartcr & shaffi.martinez - Besides your PGR request, what other additional documents, etc. were requested from you? also, if I may ask, is this your first marriage and have your spouses lived in other countries besides Mexico?

Lol, everyone would have some story to tell..when it comes to relationship.. So i normally tell like this...An Indian who met Mexican in US, and decided to move to Canada. She was never a resident of US - Although she works in US 30 days a year. Yes its first wedding for both of us. CIC didnt ask her FBI certificate, although i sent them the originals. They asked me the following docs: 4 Photos 5 * 7 CM, PGR certificate. The only red flag they may look on, i suspect is my wife is 3 years older than me. Also, inter religious wedding. We both didnt convert our religions..But i am hoping, that a sane officer can understand these differences.

Very interesting... Thanks for sharing (I'm just trying to figure something out) since you, Shaffi.martinez & I are on the same timeline and you both received your PGR requests already.... I'm thinking it will be the same for me (only photos & PGR) since I sent everything with my application.. All applications are handled so differently that sometimes is a bit hard to figure out what red flags may come up to the officer handling our case.....This is my 2nd marriage so I'm thinking that's the reason why I have not received my PGR request. (they probably are investigating my divorce in the USA & making sure I wasn't married more than once! Lol.....

Did you order GCMS notes?

Not yet, too early in the game to order them since criminal & security have not started or are just about to start.... does your ECAS say anything about your criminal & security checks?

Hi Bellatopazio,
I wasn't asked for any photos. Only the PGR certificate, and the RPRF. This is both my husband and my first marriage. Yes my husband lived in Canada, that is where we met. Im sure your PGR request is on its way. How often do you visit your spouse?

Cool story! How often do you see your spouse?

Me too we sent the RCMP background check along with our application.

Thanks for sharing! My husband and I have seen each other 4x in this past year. Since you & your husband have never been married before, your process is going a bit faster than mine. CIC is very particular about previous marriages, etc... Even if divorce papers are provided upfront, CIC still has to double check on it (for me in the USA & MEXICO) I was married 1x in the USA & now to my Canadian husband in Mexico. Eligibility of the relationship is the most critical in this process before moving on to Criminal, Security & Medicals..
