Congrats to those who received PPR ;D
My husband went to pick up PGR certificate and they told him he has to come back on Monday. He went 1 Day early! I guess we should have waited the full 10 days ::)
Hoping to have it translated same day and with UPS so MXVO receives it by Tuesday.

Hi shaffi.martinez,
Yes, Government offices work that way but you are one step closer. Are you having your Constancia translated at the PGR office? which City is your husband in?

Where did you apply your PGR at? Mexico City? My wife got her PGR back last Wednesday ( took 9 business days ) at Mexico City, and we would get translated document on Monday.

Hi Bellatopazio, My husband lives in Mexico City. Oh I didn't know you could get the translation done at the PGR
Office, he's just going to do it privately through a certified translator.

Hi Nartcr,
They told us to come on Monday! Where is your wife doing the translation?

PGR does "apostille" and legally speaking is different from translation. Canada hasnt signed hague treaty, and therefore apostilled document is not valid in Canada. When we inquired on translation, they did mention that we would need to privately do it.

My wife is doing translation at mexico city ( in Condessa/chapultepec ). Translator charges 270 pesos for PGR certificate, and takes 3 business days. They also provide expedited service ( 1 business day ). If you want the name, let me know. I used their service for authentication/translation of marriage certificate, and other docs earlier.

Hi shaffi.martinez, I was just wondering if the translations could be done at PGR office. I will just use the same private certified translator I used for my Marriage certificate, etc. She only lives a few blocks away from me :D

Just make sure there is tracking and option for someone to sign when receiving the package. I would also write UCI and FILE NUMBER on top of package.

That's great!!! I'm sure that famous Octavio at MCVO will be the one signing for your package receipt....You're one step closer :D

Oswaldo Salinas signed for it!
I was checking and UPS final delivery was a different address than the one immigration indicated to send too. It says it was delivered to 193 CERVANTES SAAVEDRA C MIGUEL HIDALGO GRANA 11200.

And this is the actual address we put on the shipping label: Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra 193, Colonia Granada
Del. Miguel Hidalgo MEXICO, D.F. 11520

The postal code is different ?! Should I be concerned?!

Our package containing police clearance certificate was signed off by O. Salinas today.

We sent:
a) FBI PCC
b) PGR + Translation
c) Photos

It took 14 calendar days to get PGR in hand. Got the PGR certificate on friday. 3 Days for translation. We sent package yesterday.

We sent our package to Immigration Section – Section de l’immigration , Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra 193, Colonia Granada, Del. Miguel Hidalgo, 11520, Mexico D.F. Mexico
