I was approved as a sponsor Dec 31 2015
on Feb 16 2016 they received my wife application
and yesterday March 29th 2016 they requested the final payment of 490$ which I think the permanent resident fee which I will pay this morning ..question what stage am I at ..any a dive how much longer

Hello.ima start off by saying Wauw Your application is moving very fast lol.Awesome we applied in August and got that same email on March 28.. Did they only ask for the payment? If so your one step. The next step will be either interview or passport reques followed by landing. We are super close

Hey thanks for the response ya I'm paying the 490 today with credit card I hope that they just ask for the passport ASAP and by the way where are you sponsoring your spouse from mine is from Nicaragua

Nice we have a daughter together but she is not being sponsored because I automatically passed in Canadian citizenship to our daughter and she has a Canadian passport so hopefully we both are with our loved ones soon primero dios

Hello everyone! I'm new here and have a few questions.


My boyfriend and I want me to move to Canada, obviously we are applying for sponsorship. Here is my question: when would it be best to get married? I still have two years left in medschool and I was wondering what was best, getting married now and starting the process after school, or getting married after school and starting the process ASAP.


What would look best? I have been dating him for seven years and I feel like a wedding is justifiably due lol but I don't wanna do something that might complicate the visa thing.


Also, I saw that they ask for conversations as evidence. Are they absolutely necessary? Like I said, I've been dating him for seven years, since I was 15.... 15 year old me did not keep conversations and changed emails like she changed clothes. So I don't have that many convos. I do have every single flight ticket, photos for every single trip, phone bills, movie tickets, show tickets, cards his mom has sent me, letters he's sent me, a couple of emails... You get the idea pretty much everything but convos that aren't from 2013 and on.

I never sent any proof of conversations between me and my husband! No emails or chat logs! Only pictures and proof of travel, etc.

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I applied to sponsor my wife (a Mexican) with an inland application on November 18 2015. We still haven't heard anything back from them. I have tried to look up the status using the online tool but it told me it couldn't find the application because it was not being processed yet. I was wondering what I should do ? Also if anyone knows if they are still approving open work permit applications submitted with a family sponsorship application. Also is it possible to see the 2 stages of the processing time for an application? Thank you very much

has anyone had experience with redoing medicals after an interview?

my husband had his interview February 18 and was approved on the spot. He had to redo his medical and get a new police certificate, certified and translated. It has been over 4 weeks since he did that and provided Mexico VO with the documents.

Anyone have any idea how much longer we will be waiting!? We are beyond stressed.. going on 16 months
