I'm getting a little bitbit nervous here! My husbands medical expire I'm exactly 1 month :-\

We too! My wife's expire in 5 weeks... the VO can extend the medicals if they desire to, which is likely our only hope right now. If we don't receive PPR this week then likely all bets are off to be able to land before Dec 16th when the medicals expire, especially given our preference to drive up from Mexico. Oh well, all part of the fun that is applying for PR. If we have to make another trip to MC for re-medicals then so be it. Whatever it takes for the process to have a happy ending.

Speedy processing everyone!

I am wondering if any of you have experience with getting the "Carta de datos registrales" through the Embassy. And also the real average time that takes to processes in the Embassy.

I am in the middle of the two options of sending someone to do it in the PGR or sending all ythe documents to the Embassy to to it in my behalf, and right now I am not sure what to do, just want to find the right one to avoid less trouble.

Where are you currently?

If in Canada, then that is the best option. You just get the fingerprints, the letter from CIC and your pictures. Courier that to the Saavedra office and you are done. Can't be easier...

Hi amigos!!! my husband already went to the doctor today to redo medicals. I hope they don't ask for anything else ???

I haven't recieved any news from MCVO since AOR on September 24th... Im not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing :o

Question.

Do we have to translate the PGR thing?

In the documents request it says:

Please provide the following original police certificate for you:
Federal Police Certificate (Constancia de Antecedentes Registrales) issued by the Procuraduría General de la República (PGR) *Mexican state police certificates will not be accepted

But then at the bottom it says:
Please note: Supporting civil documents and police certificates must be in English or French. If they are not, send a certified translation with a copy of the originals.

So.... what to do?

I have read that some have not translated and were ok, however the document clearly states it must be translated. Better safe than sorry. I recommend translating it as we did when we submitted ours early last month. I used Elan out of Mexico City who provided us with certified copies which we couriered to MCVO Immigration Section. All done over email and Paypal.

My belief would be that a translated copy wouldn't be necessary.... they are used to it, their staff speaks Spanish and it is basically useless.... but I think I will follow your advice.

We have our translator... this is my fourth application, so we even have "loyalty prices" ¬¬ .

Thanks CAN...

There seems to be no movment on my application i see other applicants with same time frame as mine. Can someone help me out to see or get a ifea of when i should hear from VO
