Hi everybody,
I am new in this site and I will like to contribute and share my experience in applying for PR so hopefully can be helpful to somebody and also I will like to be included in the spreadsheet but I don't know how to do it, can somebody help me?. My name is Jessica from Mexico and I am married to a Canadian guy. I sent my application outbound on March 17th, 2014 and I got an email on April 23rd from CIC that they received my application on March 17th, then I got another email on May 21st that my husband was approved as my sponsor and I went to check my application online last week and it says that they started working in my application on August 21st. I think it is moving quite decent. The only thing is that I came to Toronto on May 23rd and my permit to stay here will expire on Nov 23rd so I am hoping to apply for an extension that I hope I can get so I can stay here until my application gets approved. What is worrying me is that when they ask me for my PGR police background I would be able to get it through my mom or a 3rd person because I wont be in Mexico, one question, has anybody taken fingerprints in Toronto? How long it takes to get them done? Where I can get them? I just want to be prepared for when the time comes so I can do it as fast as possible.
Thank you and good luck to everybody in their applications.
Welcome Jessica! Glad to have you here. I would be happy to add you to the spreadsheet. Thanks for sharing your timeline with our little, or perhaps, big family here. Please fill in the following formato as detailed as possible and I will add you. I may have a question or 2 to clarify your information.
I am not the most qualified to answer your question about getting fingerprints in Toronto, other to say I'm pretty sure you can. Someone will surely chime in here to answer your question. As another option, if you go back some pages in this forum I believe there has been some discussion about that topic. You are not the only applicant who applied outland but is in Canada with your spouse.
There is information here: http://www.pgr.gob.mx/datosregistrales/Paginas/default.aspx regarding Constancia de datos registrales and designating someone to retrieve it for you.
