Epasote is actually quote easy to find in the U.S. in places where there is a large Mexican population (i.e. Chicago and Los Angeles). In Toronto, you could try Tierra Azteca on Bloor and Dufferin. They have a lot of authentic food products, fruits and vegetables from Mexico. They also serve an amazing bowl of Menudo on the weekends!

Thanks so much! We will be taking a day trip to Toronto on the weekend and visiting all the cool stores we found here. Even if there is no epazote we would looove to see what other products and fruit and vegtables they have since we have been wanting to make some specialty Mexican foods, but can't find the right ingredients!

That's true - I should have clarified it isn't broadly available :)

Just so we don't all call Tierra Azteca, they don't have any epazote currently. They have dried epazote "cuando nos traen" and "a veces cuando tenemos suerte nos traen fresco pero no recuerdo la última vez que tuvimos"

Thats a shame about them not being able to remember the last time they had some fresh, but thanks for calling! :)

Sponsorship approval is now taking 89 days, a big jump from the 82 is was taking last week.. :( This is going to be a long ride.

I'm hoping to be back by summer. The wifey is coming from May 26th - June 16th. So those are three weeks that won't be a pain to wait because I'll be having a blast! We celebrate 3 years of marriage on May 27 and 5 years of dating on June 11.

Assuming I get the PGR letter in a week, and the Carta de Datos Registrales in 3 (since it takes 10 days) that's when I should hand everything in. Then 2 more months to be contacted for my passport, then 6 more weeks and I should be back! (getting a little hopeful eh) I spend nights like this planning when I'm going back and just thinking about every single detail, but I'm sure I'm not the only one lol.

Sounds good to me :) I am always trying to calculate when my SO will get his PR so we can just move on from this stage of our life, so don't worry - your defiantly not the only one! & Congrats on your upcoming anniversaries!

Now that I think about it, maybe I could get a better calculation if they quit adding days to the sponsorship approval times :P

Someone on here is bound to get an approval on here soon to lift some of our spirits!!!! it would be great to get excited about someones news!!!!
