Hi Edgar,

What happened in our case with the medical was that the doctor's office sent their results to the embassy themselves after all the tests had been completed. My husband mailed me something in Canada to include in the initial application to prove they had been done, and for tracking his results I suppose, since the doctor sent his results in before they got our app.

In my case it was the same the doctor sent the results to Canada, however in this case you just should send it separately with a reference letter and your file number :D

Hello Margarita.

Yes and I'm sure that's where he got confused. I did exactly the same thing when I first started the application.
The thing is that this is my second medical exam, so sending it to my wife in Canada doesn't make sense anymore since I'm the one doing all the paperwork. I understand what he meant because the whole package has to be sent to Mississauga.

Now that my file is in Mexico City. I suppose I have to give them that green paper myself.

Another question for those that have used Guias Prepagadas. Do you know how long it takes after them embassy receives the envelope to send it back? I'm taking it tomorrow and the guy at DHL said it's overnight as soon as the embassy gives it to the courrier, however I'm wondering how long will it be before they do this.

Thanks! :)

Hi Nessa!

I went to Jorge Marcuschamer in Eugenio Sue.

For the blood/urine samples and the X-rays they were all nice, but the doctor was rude. I won't complain since I got a great deal, especially after I paid $300 the first time back in Tijuana!

Did you go to the same one?

Yes we went to him too! He made some rude comments and when we would ask him questions he would answer very sarcastically!

Yeah same here. He kept making references to my lawyer, and whenI told him I don't have one, he asked me why, I guess I'm too dumb to do the whole process myself >:(

Also he asked me if I smoke or drank alcohol, I told him I drink socially, and he started asking a whole bunch of questions such as if I drank every week (I don't) and when he asked me what was the most I had drank in the last two months I told him 5 beers, he gave me a funny look and chuckled in disbelief. LOL!

Oh well. I don't care. I won't have to deal with that again. I'm supposed to call him on Wednesday to see if everything is "okay" with my exams.

LOL. He made us all paranoid because he was asking my husband all these questions and when he asked if he had any conditions my husband said he had asthma but that it hasn´t acted up in several years.

When he heard the word ¨asthma¨ he paused for really long and stared at him for several seconds then started writing stuff down really quickly with a disapproving look. We thought there would be a problem or something! But it was all ok in the end. ;D

That doctor is on a power trip.

Wow thats awful! Our doctor was so nice he just asked my SO other what he wanted to do in Canada, how he liked it here etc, in the end he told us hes a very healthy man, haha!

Some people just get power trips. It's normal and I try not to make much out of it.

Jumping to another topic. I just got back from the embassy. I went to hand in my Prepaid envelope from DHL so they can expedite my PGR letter. Does anybody know how long it will take before they look at it and mail it out? If they take a month to look at it, it kinda cancels out the point of giving them a prepaid envelope...

Good point. Did you ask them when you submitted it?

Yeah, the guy said he didn't know :/ He just said "an officer will look at it and figure out what's next" First time I had seen this guy so maybe he's new/wasn't aware? Cool guy though, possibly in his twenties, with funky hair.

Any good news yet??

We submitted constancia on March 22. Still waiting.... :(
