For anyone who got their medical done in Canada, the medical office asked us for four passport photo size of my SO for the medical.. are they talking canadian passport, or mexican??? So to clairfy, we are applying outland to Mexico City, doing the medicals here in Canada.
Call the physician's office and ask them what they want - the photo is just for identification to know who had the medical exam so Canadian sized should be ok but some physician offices are quite picky.

This is very helpful info!.
I now understand what you need to get married in Mexico, registro civil wedding.
Does anyone know what you need to get married in Mexico in the church (religious wedding only)?.
My situation: Canadian PR already. Married in Vegas (registro civil only, not by the church), USA. Live in Canada. Divorced. Never been married by the church before, catholic. Wife: Canadian born, never married before, catholic. Would like to marry (religious wedding only with reception) in Mexico City (San Angel). We have 2 kids (ours, no previous children)
Thanks for you help in advance!.
Rob.
You'll only have to abide by the church's requirements so reach out to the church you have in mind in San Angel (make sure you explain you're already legally married so they don't send you to the registro civil). In Mexico, given the separation of church and state, you have to get married by the state (registro civil - either at the Registro Civil or having them go somewhere) and separately you can have your religious ceremony.

Thank you, OhCanadiana... to complicate the situation further, I'm not from Mexico City..
We don't live in Mexico nor will be moving to Mexico...
Perhaps it's not possible.
Don't give up so easily - it should be possible to make your dream happen! Do you have a specific church in San Angel in mind?

Here's one that even has their requirements for marriages online: http://www.sanjacinto.org.mx/sj/?page_id=89

Do you speak/read Spanish?

Yay! We just got our official AOR!! They have requested the following documents:

-Original Police Certificates from the following:
- Mexico/PGR (informe de datos registrales)
- Estado de Mexico

-Completion of Schedule A

For the police certificates, they have given us 60 days to present them. But for the Schedule A, we only have 15 days to present. We better get crackin'!

Schedule A is is form 5669. Actually, we already submitted that with our initial package. We are not sure why they are asking for it again.

Thanks MC1234 :)

The PGR (Informe de datos registrales) is the federal report (for Mexico City). Everyone is asked to submit this one. The one for Mexico state is the state police report. My hubby lived in Mexico state as well so he must submit it also.

Hope you get approval soon!!!

Thanks. Yes, we submitted the FBI report (U.S.) and only one state report (we forgot to apply for the police report for the other state that my hubby lived in). Concerning the Schedule A, we haven't a clue! We will check it to make sure there are no gaps and send it in again.

ohh on mine they didn´t ask for any other documents or anything...they just said they were sending instructions for PGR via regular mail! It can´t take that long to send stuff from Mexico city to Veracruz...so I am thinking it should be here in a week or two.

Hi! I'm in the same situation, my fiancé was in the States illegally for more than 6 months and I'd like to know if CIC asked you for the FBI clearance and if they did, at what point in they did. Thanks!!
Sorry for the late reply, I've been avoiding the forum - at this point in our long wait, it is a lot easier to keep stress levels low if I simply ignore immigration discussion as much as possible :)

We did not submit the FBI with the application. Long story - if you want all the boring details - just click on my forum name and read the previous posts in this thread for the backstory on our case.

The FBI was requested in the AOR letter. In the end, my husband ended up doing his own fingerprints -- all due to one less than helpful individual at the PGR who told us we couldn't get prints done for FBI there. The prints we submitted were fine and we subsequently got the FBI no problem. Since then I have heard of a number of people who simply took the FBI fingerprint card in to the PGR when they went to have prints done and had no issues with that, so hopefully you will have the same positive experience.

Good luck.
