Sponsorship is not a game , when they see signs like this.. its usually NOT for a "little fight" as you called it... its almost like asking the divorce as severe decision. I totally dont know how they will see this...it sure won't put IRCC in trust of the genuine. You dont cancel a sponsorship like that like as a "yoyo"...its proving them real instability in the couple.
I know. We have a newborn so I’m hoping that might help a little. If not our only option is to reapply

I agree it is not a game. It seems you used the application as a threat and you should not do that to someone you are supposed to love. If i were the officer doing your application and you attempted to cancel I would mark that in your file for all future officers to see. I would consider that very serious and would never consider doing that to my spouse no matter how big the fight

I dont think having a baby gonna erase things much for an officer with instability as that visible... even if its re applied .. this one still gonna be in history , won't disappear. That was like opening a pandore box...prepare for a really harsh arguing with them, try to find a lawyer in immigration would be the BEST advice if you guys are Seriously wanting to reapply.

I never said it would disappear or not be in history. Obviously they will have everything recorded even when reapplying they can see everything. Just wanted to know what y’all think they’ll do if cancel the app or not or perhaps an interview to explain. That’s all

According to me , I think they gonna cancel it... i mean you guys have asked twice by different means to do .. and retracted...as i said ... you guys gonna need an immigration lawyer by now i guess. At least a consult to know how to approach things as of now

Guys I think I messed up. Me and hubs who’s the applicant had a misunderstanding and he sent an email 4days ago to cancel application. Then 1 day after he sent an email to disregard the message to cancel. Then 2 days later I sent an email to cancel application. Then I sent an email to not cancel application last night. We had a little fight and now are reconciled. You think they will cancel it? We’re June application. We really messed up eh?
Wow!
Honestly speaking even if they don’t worry cancel an continue processing they will request an interview from both of u guys an will be hard on y’all to prove that the marriage is genuin.
fights happen yeah but no way u guys should’ve done that to IRCC.
So I really do hope they don’t cancel because that’s time and money down the drain

Thanks. I hope for this though. And I’m sure reapplying they’ll definitely go hard on us. We’ll hope for the best

As Patvicto said sponsorship is not a game, and you can’t be sending you don’t want and then yes this doesn’t look good in the eyes of an officer they could reject application since they might suspect is fraud, and even if you re apply could be the same.

best will be to write a letter trying to explain situation why you did it, and wait since they take all of this very seriously

and also hire a lawyer

Get a lawyer an let him explain first before doing any letter girl, seek legal advice an then make a move , because u never know if u send the lettter in a email an they still don’t understand etc so get a lawyer asap an have him explain what to do an how to do it etc don’t send any letter just like that, because let’s say sometimes your letter make the situation alittle more worst so best way is to get a lawyer. Legal advice is way better than persons from this forum.
