Additional Document Request. Yeah well usually it's based on Eligibility then it's either PPR or an interview

My husband's from Cuba as well and we're still waiting (one year will be Jan 21st). If you don't mind me asking, where did your wife do her medical exam? We just went ahead and booked my husband's in Guyana for early December. His flight leaves back to Cuba the next day, as they assured me the exam will only take one day and this would be fine.

I'm now a little nervous because they sent me an email this morning saying that if they happen to find anything, he'll need to be referred to another doctor. He leaves the day after the exam, so if they do this better all happen the same day. Anyone know anything about this?

We did her and her sons medical in Trinidad the whole process took 2 hours we have not heard back anything except on ecas medicals passed . Now we wait for interview or passport . You will not get results of his exam until 1-2 weeks later . They do not give you any idea except send to Canadian health panel

Lets be honest on it, takes a lot of health issues not to pass under these exams.

Good day everyone. I have been reading all the posts on this forum for the past few months however never commented. You all have been very helpful in providing insight to this process and my partner and I really appreciate it. It is definitely a stressful experience for sure. I notice that the process is a bit different for everyone depending on their current issues/status. I was a bit shocked that our application was sent to the Mexico VO though. We thought for sure it would go to the Trinidad VO as my spouse is from there.
Here is our timeline:

Sent to Sydney
: March 1, 2019
Package received and signed for: March 6, 2019
AOR letter: April 5, 2019
Bio-metrics request: April 18, 2019
Bio-metrics completed: April 24, 2019
Approved as sponsor: April 23, 2019
Medical request: April 24, 2018
Medical completed: May 7, 2019
Medical received by CIC: May 13, 2019 (updated on ecas)
Application forwarded to Mexico: October 4, 2019
Application started processing (according to Ecas): October 28, 2019. No AOR2 received yet

I am hoping that it won't be much longer but you never know with this process as you receive communication and then dead silence for months.
Anything yet? I tink we have the same timeline. Mine started processing in Mexico the 28 Oct 2019 too!
