Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am Canadian. My girlfriend visits Canada frequently with a Multiple Entry Visa from Guatemala where she lives. (Her 2 kids are Canadian citizens).

She is in Canada now with me.

We want to get married in Vegas this July.

I am worried that upon returning the border agent will not allow her re-entry after realizing that we were just married and the obvious implications.

We were planning to do in-land after returning because the waiting time from Guatemala is 18 months.

Should we play it safe and stay here to get married? What are the risks of going to Vegas?

Thanks in advance!

Depending on the country, isn't "inland" for Canada 2 years +?

Must the border agent know that you are now (or will be at the time) married? I know of a couple who, upon return from their out of country wedding decidedly re-entered using different customs agent line-ups . . . only for the same concern of yours.

i guess it is very likely she will be denied entry to canada if they find out u married in states and coming to canada together
