When one applies online, then how is the passport request for passport submission sent by CIC. Is it an email, a phone call or an sms? And what if a person misses the call in case it's a phone call.

i think you will get message on your CIC account.

You will get notification in your e-mail registered with CIC that you have new message in your CIC Account.

Then you have to log in into your CIC account to view new message.
