My wife and I only had Mehndi, nikkah and rukhsati done. I did not do any walima as most of our funds were stuck in inheritance process which we received on 24th Jan 2023. Mehndi took place on 16th and Nikkah on 18th December 2022. i travelled back to Canada on 17th Feb 2023. Will a letter of explanation allow my wife to be sponsored as to why we did not do a walima function? or anyone who has had a similar case?
