Hi there.
My wife is Canadian and lives with me here in the UK.
I have completed the medical, my daughter who is three come august will be included as a dependent.
Does she also need a medical if my wife is currently seeking to get her dual citizenship. The application indicates that all dependents must undergo a medical if they are included in the application. - We have not applied for her dual yet, we are getting these documents together -
thanks guys and gals

If the daughter is already Canadian through her mom, then she is NOT a dependent and does not need to do medical or pay any fees.

She would just be added under the general "Additional Family Info" form with PR application.

Seriously, is that right? I have been told otherwise - so my daughter who is British and has a British passport, because mum is a Canadian I do NOT have to include her as a dependent on the application on the IMM 0008 form.
Getting conflicting information. Thank you for your reply ;o) anyone else been in this position please?

Can the mom pass on citizenship? If so then your daughter is NOT A DEPENDENT! She is already a citizen, she just needs the paperwork to show it.

Why would you need to sponsor someone for PR, when they are already a citizen??? 100% sure she does NOT need to be listed as a dependent. Would only be if her mom can not pass on her citizenship.

If your daughter is eligible to get her Canadian citizenship from her mom then she is not included in the application other than how Rob has stated.
