Pls my son is in UK presently, he just finished the one year foundation class in a university but I want him to go to Canada for his studies now, 1, pls will he have to do medicals for the application, 2, can his uncle sponsor him with POF, and 3, can he enter canada before applying for the student visa because he has Canada visit visa already. 1. Yes.
2. Sponsors are usually parents, as uncle is not immediate/extended family. Does uncle live in Canada? Is it a 4 year program? If so, pay first year tuition and show considerable funds. Person on the forum this week was refused for not enough funds because uncle was supporting, and not parents/student.
3. He can but it will weaken his application as it is processed from country of citizenship. He needs to show ties to return to home country with career opportunities to justify costs.
Has he applied to any schools and been accepted? He may only get admission for next Fall given most university programs don’t really have spring or summer start date and he will also have to wait until he receives approval/refusal of the work permit. It would be very hard to justify such a long visit to Canada. As already indicated he needs to show that he has strong ties to his home country so returning home is in his best interest.
