Do they test for drugs in the medical examination for study permit?

Uh oh..what have you been upto

But don't worry...last I heard its only Australia that checks for drugs. Canada only wants to know if you dont have any serious illnesses such as TB.

In Medical Test they do the following:

1. HIV Test I & II
2. Urine Dipstix Test
3. X-Ray of Chest
4. VDRL Serum (For Syphillis)

So, no need to worry, but you should stop whatever you are using!

yes i believe lab panel would detect drugs

Drug in blood sample can be due to use of medicines as well, and test for drugs are not cheap, and the results takes some time.
Even if they do detect drugs, Drug abusers are not banned from applying for Canada Visa.
