Hi i would like to ask how long we will wait for medical request?for MPNP application.
We received an email last last month (feb.18).coming from CIO that our application was received and complete.
2nd will this be send through email? or regular mail?.

hi its been 50 days now since we also recieved email from CIO but until now no email for medical request coming from the embassy here in manila. Looks like they temporarily hold giving out MR for a while since ihavent heard of any MR for almost 2 months now.

Same here, we've been waiting for 51 days now for our MR. Hopefully we will get it very soon. God bless us!

I have applied for MPNP(economic class) since August 2011. I m from Pakistan and Visa office is London.


Application filed: 25th Aug 2011
Confirmation of receiving: 5th Sep 2011
Got AOR : 20th April 2012
Apllication filed In CIC : 5th june 2012
Online Status on 6th June 2012 : Application Received
Interview with my relative in canada : 28th August 2012
Additional documents and updated ielts required : 24th Dec 2012
All documents sent : 17th Feb 2013
Got married : 4th Jan 2014 (informed about my status and want to accompany my husband in application who lived in Spain)
Additional documents of mine after changes due to my marriage and my spouse documents as well : 21st Jan 2014
RPRF of mine and my spouse : 21st jan 2014
Online Status on 6th Feb 2014 : (In Process)
RPRF and documents submitted: 13th March 2014



Anyone get Medical Request? How much time does it more require? Anyone who has same timeline and waiting like me?

It depends on your visa office.

For ours, it took more than 6 months before we received our medical request for the reasons that

1. the visa office is under strike
2. we have missing information that cause the delay of our application.

So you have to wait maximum of 6 months that's their processing time. Visa office will not answer if within processing time

There are two ways you can have an immigration medical exam, depending on your immigration category

Wait for instructions once you have submitted your application
Instructions issued by CIC:

You will be instructed to go for a medical exam within 60 days of receiving the notice.

Instructions issued by Border Services Officer:

If you make a refugee claim at a port of entry, a Border Services Officer will instruct you to get a medical exam within 30 days.

Note: Failure to follow these instructions may result in your application being refused.

Undergo your exam before you submit your application (Only for certain Family Class applicants)

i have the same situation. i received an email saying that manila visa office received our application and requested for RPRF receipt. we sent it right away.

it been 2 months now that we have been waiting for the MR.

do you have an ECas account or did you just do paper application?

i did paper application and neveer registered for ECas. i wonder if that will make a difference.
