Medical Request Question

I was hoping someone could answer a couple of questions regarding the medical request:

1) Do we receive the notification for a medical via mail or email? I received my AOR notification via email.

2) Do we need to complete medicals within a specific time frame once we receive the notification? The reason why am asking this is because I am expecting my medicals soon, however I might have to leave Canada for over a month for work. So in the worst case scenario, I might only be able to complete my medical request a month after receiving the notification. Is this acceptable?

you will receive it by email.

I think if you are away when you receive your Med req. you can find a DMP in the country you will be and do your medical there. also please browse old posts on this forum, some users were able to do advance Medical before requested. you need to contact DMP that are willing to help you.

What is DMP? And is there any time frame at all listed in the email you receive regarding by when you need to complete your medical request?

Usually you have 60 days from the medical request to do the medical. Medicals are valid for 1 year after completing them (i.e. you must land as a PR before they expire, or get an extension).

I have a question here..my friend completed his medicals as part of his visitor visa processing. Will CIC be requesting for medicals again as part of CEC process even if the medicals earlier are still within the 1 yr validity period?
