Hi,

i got a medical reassessment letter telling me that the medical for my spouse is expiring and she should re-submit them within 7 days else this might result in cancellation of application.

q1. Last med was done in Sep 2013, why is the previous one not valid?
q2. The asked to submit duly completed re-assessment form (attached). However there is no attachment in the email?

Also, the last time we did meds we got online forms that we had to take to DMP but nothing along with this mail. Is this normal?

Please guide me through this process. Apreciate your response seniors.

if you are applying for PNP, then i suggest posting this in the forum specific to your program. this is for family class sponsorships. I have never heard of such a requst for family class sponsorships, so i'm not sure you're in the right place. i would suggest getting in touch with th visa offic that sent the letter to clarify.

After searching for hours, I found similar discussions under this class as well as federal skilled class (not under PNP), hence the reason for posting here.

(Those forums have been inactive for >60 days, chance of getting a reply is less)

i see... well good luck! again, i recommened getting in touch with the visa office. perhaps you can request for them to extend your medical exam? if it's the same as family class, CIC has the authority to do this if it's been completed within 15 mo.

Yeah, I have sent them an email. Hopefully they check it soon unline 21 business day response.
Funny thing is the previoua meds are still valid as it was performed in Sep 2013.

another thought is to send a copy of the original medical receipt, note that it's still valid and you are confused by why a reassessmnt is needed. perhaps they misread the receipt, or there is some indication of a medical issue that needs further results. i would also sternly request them to extend the medical results, and ask them to contact you if they indeed need another assessment. this can at least kill you some time?

thats right..I just sent them a detailed email quoting all these points...Also, I found another bulletin where information on how to extend the medical is listed. Sent a seperate email to them.
Hopefully, this is sorted out sooner rather than later.

1. Why bother arguing? Have your spouse have the medical. It is the Visa officer's decision whether to extend the medical, and it appears the VO didn't want to. The medical has to be valid when the COPR is issued and it appears that yours is close.
2. But it is your choice whether you want to waste your time, and in the end will probably have to have the medical.

The important peice that is missing is the form in the email. While the body states that there is a form attached but it is not (the person who sent it did not attach the form). Without the medical request form, I can't get the meds done, let alone 7 days or 30 days.

So I am trying to find out has anyone else been in same situation or what is this form that I am missing. Moreover all the docs I have talked to until now in Toronto say they can only send meds to Ottawa not India as it is explicitly requested in the email.

I got the same letter, requesting my spouses medical re-assesment and form is missing as in your case. \I received it today
What did u DO ?

I have received same email saying abt medical reassessment I last month. I have done it last month itself.. stil i have not got ant reply.. anyone got any idea about how long its gonn take n what will be the next.. thanks..

Could you paste your email here after removing personal details? We too had received medical reassement request without any attachment, but that is normal (at least for us it was). You are only supposed to take the print out of the email and go to the panel physician. You won't be submitting anything within 7 days. Its the panel physician that will be doing your test and submitting his report within 7 days. As such, the physician has all the forms needed. Just show the letter and highlight the short deadline time.

At least this is what happened to us. If you paste your email here, we can all take a look and interpret it for you.
