medical photos are the sames as the ones for the application ?

I've been looking in the past post, but I have not found a clear answer to this.

In the documents we were given by the doctor office it says we need 4 passeport photos size. Can't we just submit the same photos size as in the ones we are going to be submitting with the application , or are they really different size ?
