Hey, seeking clarification on the medical form, Appendix C - Form to take with you to the medical appointment.

We were reading the instructions and they say that applicant and family members (whether they will be joining you or not) have to pass a medical examination. In my boyfriend's case, as he's the applicant, does his family really have to have medicals done for his sponsorship application?

I'm really curious because I haven't seen any posts on the forum about the subject. To those who've gone through the entire process have your family members had to have gone through the medicals? Have to had passed those medicals?

Please share any stories or information you have about this, we're a little thrown by this(it's the first time we really looked at the form).

Thanks in advance :)

Family in this case means spouse and children. Since you are the Canadian sponsor you do not need a medical. If he has any children they also need to be medically assessed.

I have a question to add along this vein. I have no kids but when it asks about family, does this mean my parents and siblings have to go through a physical, even though they aren't going with me? I twas a little confusing. Or does it mean spouse and kids?

Same answer as above. It means spouse and children who are NOT Canadian citizens or PRs.
