Depending up on your current health condition you can decide to take an insurance or not. If you think you can manage without any consulation with doctor (
excuse me; any thing can happen to any one as it is not as per our will )
I took
"Short term Medical Insurance" for me and my wife, when landed.
That was from:
Dan Purcher Insurance Broker. Their premium was comparitively lesser than others.

You can get it on line effective from the date of landing in Canada, which can be applied in advance.
